How do you get the Boaboa in the Coral Highlands?

I believe you need at least level 3 with their tribe to get them to spawn BUT it's pure rng.
It's a massive pain to get them to spawn as the other tribes can also show up, the flashlight thingies or nothing at all.

If they are just standing around on the ground, they aren't really trying to help, though sometimes they will pelt monsters with small attacks. Usually they will just burrow and run away.

If they are on a wall with a dot above their head playing a drum or horn, then they are about to attack and with boa boa, you just need to get the monster close.

The best solution is to max out your friendship level with them (doing things like trading with them boosts this a lot and also gets you things for Treasure Hunting). However, it's also good to befriend the Coral Troupers and Gajalaka to have them help you too, and doing the Gajakala King side quest in the Witcher Quest gives you a stronger bond with the Gaja.

If they're on the wall playing a horn or whatever, you need to down the monster in their vicinity, either by wallbanging or mounting, for them to show up and do whatever it is that they do, depending on the tribe. Boaboa launches harpoons. Gajalaka shells. I think the rest will restrain with vines.

Lol, no. For Gajalaka and BoaBoa just bringing monsters close is enough. It's Grymalkie that require a mount.
