beside 60 second is plenty to carve 3-4 times.
60 Seconds are normally more then enough to carve everything
the other problems occure when you die near the end of the quest, wich should not cost you the carve.
And those are only if you didn't carve their 'detachables' (Tail, Crest, Horns respectively) mid-fight, or potentially in the latter's case, in an earlier area.
Also, in these cases, always run to the detached part first, since you can start carving those immediately, you aren't wasting time waiting for the monster to collapse.
By pressing the start button on your controller, you can skip the zoom on the dying monster thing.If that's what you mean ^-^'
Usually hunters complain that 60 seconds is too long. That you wait too long when you're done with carving.

Yeah, perhaps. In the case of capturing 20 seconds, this is definitely a very long time.
The only monster that doesn't give you enough time to curve is "Lao-Shan Lung" (9 Curves) which is NOT FOUND in MHW.
Or you can just mess around with people after everyone carves.
