Loot timer
please work on the questend loot-timer. a lot of quests have massive problems with the 60 seconds you get after the quest ends. MHW isa game focused on grinding. so when i grind for materials and loose the entire loot to this stupid 60 second timer its infuriating. pls at least let us customise the timer or remove it entirely PLZ

You get most of the loot from the quest rewards. It's impossible to "loose the entire loot". The carves are the smallest part of the most common materials you will get. How do you not manage to do it in a minute anyways?

press esc if there is cutscene after quest.

beside 60 second is plenty to carve 3-4 times.

Capture the Monster if possible and you dont have this problem, ofc this doesnt work at Elder Dragons and some special encounters

60 Seconds are normally more then enough to carve everything

Eternal gold rush is the best example. if you kill KT you barely have enough time to carve the body ( about 40 seconds) and one of the horns. if youre not under KT when it dies you dont have enough time to carve the second horn. scattered loot is gone too. this is stupid.
the other problems occure when you die near the end of the quest, wich should not cost you the carve.

But the only times the should even present an potential issue is Xeno Jiiva, Shara Ishvalda, and Kulve Tarroth.

And those are only if you didn't carve their 'detachables' (Tail, Crest, Horns respectively) mid-fight, or potentially in the latter's case, in an earlier area.

Also, in these cases, always run to the detached part first, since you can start carving those immediately, you aren't wasting time waiting for the monster to collapse.

The point i try to make here is that there is no reason for this timer to exist. quest over? hold button to exit. bam all problems gone. there is enough reason to NOT have this timer

What are you doing after the kill that makes 60 seconds not enough time?

Personally, I am more annoyed by the control lock in the first seconds. I would prefer 50 and 10 seconds, but without flying around the monster with the camera.

By pressing the start button on your controller, you can skip the zoom on the dying monster thing. If that's what you mean ^-^'

Usually hunters complain that 60 seconds is too long. That you wait too long when you're done with carving.

The only time the timer becomes a problem is if you cart in multiplayer, because you have to run all the way back, then crave otherwise you should be alright.

You will always get rewards for completing a mission.

I use a keyboard and mouse, but thanks, I get the gist (I'll look for a button next time; probably "X", as in the case of skipping cutscenes).

Yeah, perhaps. In the case of capturing 20 seconds, this is definitely a very long time.

Someone already mentioned it, you press the escape key.

You will have plenty of time if you start from the Horn then curve the body after.

The only monster that doesn't give you enough time to curve is "Lao-Shan Lung" (9 Curves) which is NOT FOUND in MHW.

This is curious, but it doesn’t fundamentally change anything: I have enough time for loot anyway and there is no possibility of an early exit.

I'd rather the timer be there just fine, it's long enough to carve the monster, and maybe grab some resource nodes.
Or you can just mess around with people after everyone carves.
