Which weapon against flying monster

Hi,
I like to use the hammer, but I have noticed that against flying monsters the hammer is rather counterproductive, so I want to ask what you could use best

Ranged.

Long Gunlance shelling.

Switch axe.

Charged blade in axe mode.

Lance.

Great sword.

Insect Glaive hasn't been mentioned yet, so I'll suggest it. The hitboxes are ridiculously large for flying monsters and mounting is much easier. Plus, I find it super fun to use in aerial combat.

Hammer is actually pretty good against flying monsters. The charged upswing has respectable reach and it contextual attacks such as sliding or running up certain walls are the best in the game. With any weapon though consider donning rocksteady or temporal and using the clutch claw to hit the head. A lot of aerial attacks from monsters don't involve their head. This is really good on Silver Rathalos for example.

Nothing wrong with the Hammer. Flash pod it or clutch the head for flinch shots to bring it down. Aerial flinch shots don't require a wall for a knockdown, you just flinch shot in the air and the monster crashes into the ground. Break it's wings. Smash it's head for stuns. Sheath the Hammer for greater mobility.

Anything other than LS, SnS, DB, Hammer. GS and Hammer are decent, but not great.

bro hammer its good to dunk a lot of fliying monsters , check some gold rathian SPEED runs whit hammer on yotube , check THE combos and how to porperly aim whit the CHARGE LV 2 .
