so what is a good way to get the guard up decoration ?

as i want to try lance gunlance, and weapons that can make use of guard up, sadly i haven't gotten much luck with it, so i wanted to ask where you can get it, so see if i was doing it right, on a side note whats a good way to get lots of dragonvain coal ?, as a side thing

You can either do the high rank tempered lavasioth event or equip a farming set and do some mining / bone piles in the guiding lands for coal

Coal from TGL, the names lavasioth (highly recommended compared to greatest chungus) event quest

T2 HR are also good, but itll be rare

Efforts, lots of efforts and luck, i got my first guard up by luck while answering sos in guiding land in my 800h playthrough, meanwhile i melded hundreds and hundreds silver tickets and got nothing at all..
And most importantly pray to RNG god to answer your voice..

Shield deco (Guard Up), Mind's Eye, Mighty Bow, and Sharp deco (protective polish) are the 4 rare HR decos that you can not get via guild alchemy. You also can't get those 4 from any Iceborne feystones; you'll want to get warped or worn feystones.

Many MR quests/GL/etc. can give a possible warped feystone, but that will be slow. The fastest way is to do The Name's Lavasioth, the HR event quest.

Welp fk me, i did all of that and it consumed so much of my time without knowing it's actually useless and for nothing, well no point on getting frustated i guess since i already own all decors i wanted..

Well by i mean all those decors are the decors from level 1-3, still not completing yet from level 4, still hunting that tenderizer/physique, challenger+, and 2 more expert+ so bad..

To answer TC's question, take all your spare decorations and meld with Strange Stream option at Elder Melder for WORN feystones.

Honestly without all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ grinding I would HEAVILY recommend getting the all items in shop mod and simply buying the damn thing. I got my first legit shield deco like two weeks ago from a random mr tempered monster. This is of course after deliberately trying to farm lavasioth and jagras event quests as well as every single hr tempered monster I’ve ever fought. But if you don’t want to cheat and don’t want to farm you can always just get I think... uragaan beta legs and alpha arms, and the set bonus will be guard up and you should get guard 4 as well as one offensive guard from the armor skills.
