Please, be prepared before joining a AT Namielle Hunt...
- If you lack Health Boost 3.
No, just don't... You either get that skill or you just don't join at all, cause you'll get one shot by anything she'll throw at you.

- If you have negative elemental resist to Water and/or Thunder
Either you eat Resist Element (L) or you don't join, Namielle hurts with her water beam and shockwaves which can, at best remove half of your health, at worst, one shot you.

-If you do not own at least one health augment on your weapon.
AT Namielle can do huge chip damage when crawling onto you, if you can heal that small amount of damage by yourself, it's all good, else, you're gonna waste a potion ( or a Wide-Range user's. )

-If you do not know her behavior.
Even if AT Namielle has some new moves or a random pattern of attacks, it is still a Namielle, you should know how she starts up her attacks, how she wind-up her moves, knowledge is power, mate.

- If you can't dodge her Supernova.
I know it can be tricky but it is fairly easy to dodge, as soon as you see her roaring and flying up, sheath your weapon, DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO BLOCK if you have a guard, DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO PARRY if you can parry, just sheath your weapon, run away and dive as soon as you see her flying down.
If you take the first shock, you're dead because the other one is a possible OHKO ( unless you have a lot of Elem resist.
Or you can use a Farcaster, this works too if you are unsure about superman diving to safety.

-If you do not have Lifepowders and/or Dust of life.
2 Slots required in your inventory, 3 Lifepowders, 2 Dust of life, 5 healing items for someone who's stunned and/or in danger and/or close to death ( specially if it is a Wide-Range user who's been perma-healing you non-stop. )
Those items can save a quest from failing, so do bring them, heck, i am not even asking you to bring the mats to craft them on the go, just bring them and use them.

-If you only care for your DPS and not your team.
Son, go back to Vanilla Namielle, AT requires your attention to play safe, or she'll show you how much DPS she is packing, and oh boy, she's packing quite a lot.

I know that is a lot of text, but i felt like typing all of that after starting my quest, throwing an SoS, have three randoms join me, have three randoms being carted by AT Namielle's supernova, failing the quest, and head back to camp in less than 5 minutes.

Arch Tempered Monsters are supposedly a challenge, if you want to be up to it, come prepared.

Also, don't even say "Git Gud, Go Solo it" it has already been done, and this wall of text is no requirements but advices gathered on my experience and people's around here.

Those are a lot of requirements lol.
Just solo it, get your tickets and let randos be randos.

Solid advice apart from the don't guard part.

Lance with Guard 5 and Guard Up (You should have these vs most AT Elders anyway), lets you block the nova provided you don't have garbage resistances or aren't already half dead.

The chip damage is directly proportional to how much lightning resistance you have.
With around 25 lightning resist, it will eat about 100 HP through your guard.
With 0 lightning resist, it will eat about 200 HP through your guard.
Use noodle, eat for resistance & profit.

So, you really think that exactly this people read it?

If you use raw melee meta armor ( 3 piece teo and 2 piece raging brach armor) it means your lightning and water resist will be negative so always eat full veggies.
It also applies to support with MRKT armor.

I wish this was quite true, but i've read and seen people attempting to guard and getting nuked nonetheless, but i do thing sheathing and diving is the safest option, in my honest opinion.

It doesn't hurt to hope, right ?

Not really requirements, most of them are supposed to be basic knowledge and part of your build (Health Boost 3) and your meal before going ( Canteen )
And sure, i could do it solo but that kills the point of playing online. :)

The only problem is that people here are mostly well informed. While people who dont bother to learn the monsters.. surely dont bother to read random advice threads.

The truth is. This thread only serves you.. to vent. I can understand that. But you will still meet a lot of random guys who will cart against every fart.

Still solid advice tho.

You can block nova. It is both a physical and elemental hit. The physical hit can be blocked with guard up and guard 5 (you need full stamina at that moment or you're dead).
The elemental damage can't be blocked and that's why a high thunder resistance is needed.

why people keep writing an essay complaining about other people from SOS. why dont you just solo if you find SOS incompetent.

it's like you dont know what matchmaking means, especially the one without ranking system.

It's wayyy easier to just solo it.
With melee (cancer) it took me 25 mins (10 mins longer compared with when I used sticky + cluster HBG).
Also in case everyone is not aware, it's more efficient to bring 20 Nourishing Extract and 20 Kelbi Horns to make 20 Ancient Potions (for self-healing).

The Waterproof Mantle greatly reduces the damage of all of Nami's water beam attacks. Seriously, you can eat them all and still lose only a little bit of health with the mantle on.

If you're not confident, bring Waterproof and Temporal mantles with Maintenance jewels slotted into both.

While this topic can be considered a rant, it isn't one, technically, maybe i typed it in the wrong way and for that, i do apologize.

And i do not find SoS incompetent at all.

However,

What i find incompetent is people joining in, unprepared, for this event and "YOLO'ing" as if it was just a normal tempered monster. (I still remember the days of HR AT Kirin, and oh boy, those weren't fun... xD)

Then again, it is a game, everyone play the way they want, i can't change the world but i only hope those little advices will help and ring some bells.

That's a lot of requirements for random SOS man. Get a trusty crew or solo. You'll have more chance of getting the team you want that way

i find thunder proof more useful, mostly on the basis of, even with max guard and guard up, and 20+ thunder res... his finishing move depending on how much stupid you get stuck standing in can take 20 hp, to 190 hp. thats blocking every hit and not getting sent flying from taking an unblocked hit. you survive but if you were gonna rely on moxie or guts to save your butt, think again. unless you just take it at full HP to proc said guts or moxie.

the water attacks too hurt still, but blocking those with most weapons is bearable if your follow up attack is gonna heal the damage you did take. thunder proof though... i watched my buddy on greatsword, with his thunder proof on, shoulder tackle the big finishing flash and survive. barely. and that seems to be what gets most people. that and being stunned. so stun immunity or 90% reduction are both good as well.

Man her water spread is large and i was one shotted(thanks to my KT Guts i survived) when he suddenly nova my cat from (approx 2 roll away). but other than boosted damage(temp attack that usually take 1/3 of my life now take 2/3 of my life) and sudden water spreadshot he almost the same.
