Other than that, try to avoid standing in clouds for extended periods, moving through them shouldn't be too dangerous but if the clouds are everywhere it'd probably be worth moving to a fresh area and letting Vaal come to you.
Other than that, the fight is just like before. Dodge the slow, super-telegraphed attacks, maybe use a health booster so you can tank through all that passive damage you're taking, and just keep hitting it.
Other than effluvia resistance, if you can augment your weapon then having health lifesteal would help in sustained battles around the green area especially. Be careful of vespoid and girros around the area, may want to clear them up around before starting the battle. In iceborne, they can be quite nasty but even hitting a dead girros body could regain you some HP, especially CB got some wide-range attack too.
As such they won't have Health Augments unless they brought it in on a High Rank Weapon and there won't be Girros to deal with, though there should be infected Jagras and Wingdrakes scattered about the forest along with the Vespoids milling around the Poisoncup area.
Well, unless you are were rushed by SOS...
Nah i wasnt rushed i played most of the time alone and boosted friends by my own xD
i think my main problem was that i didnt quiet knew his moveset and the clouds hes making are so annoying and sometimes not very good to see on the floor. But tbh i think blackveil vaal is different to the normal one in some ways and that is the thing creating problems for me i guess
