Final Fantasy XV or this?
Overall which one would you recommend the most and which I should play over the other, considering there's a sale going on

Having played both, I'd definitely say MHW is better. FF15 is a roadtrip simulator(complete with boringass driving sequences) and button masher combat.

Calling FFXV button masher combat just shows you didn't really get in depth into the combat. At all. It has quite a bit of timing to the combat with the abilities, dodging, and countering.

Comparing MHW to FFXV is pretty...idk. It doesn't fit very well, they are very different games. FFXV, while it has a multiplayer aspect, is heavily single player focused. You will get a very, VERY story heavy game, with a focus on character development and world building. Especially if you get the edition that includes the DLCs for each of the main characters.

MHW has a pretty dull single player experience, as it has a strong multiplayer focus. There are lots of missions to do, lots of monsters to hunt, but the story itself is almost non-existent--BUT you can play it with your friends.

As a huge Final Fantasy fan, I really enjoyed XV, it was a big improvement from the 13 series, and one of the better FF games released in recent years, aside from the FFVII remake.

If I HAD to recommend one, I would say FFXV because it has fun combat, a compelling story, and it is open world so there is a lot to do. It has typical JRPG sidequests and secrets to find, along with the grind. I preffer singple player games to multiplayer ones, so for me FFXV is an easy pick.

If your preference if multiplayer, you probably want to go with MHW, just because the multiplayer aspect of FFXV is basically dead, and never was a big focus in the first place. Even if you DO go with MHW, I highly recommend giving FFXV a try at some point!

FFXV - Story
MHW - Gameplay

To some extent, true--but that isn't to say FFXV has bad gameplay. It is a JRPG, you progress through a story, engage in random encounters, gain skill points and level up, etc.

In MHW, you go out, kill monsters, grind for hundreds of hours to get one single gem if you are lucky, buy armor, upgrade weapons, then grind some more for another few hundred hours for the next gem. Some could argue that the gameplay is super repetitive and far too grindy. You don't have that same grind, in the same way, in FFXV. Just saying.

You're giving ff15 ENTIRELY too much credit in the gameplay department.

There's no depth to the combat. There's button mashing and a hilariously broken magic system.

I notice you completely ignore the glaring flaw of the car, btw.

Classy.

I see your reviews for Skyrim and FO4, you are literally review bombing because of an optional creation club that you can avoid entirely by going to Nexus Mods. To say that the game is literally button mashing is legitimately ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. There is specific timing to the combat, there is a lot of depth involving chaining attacks with your party members, parries, the various abilities each character has, AND the magic in the game--which you can create unique spells by blending different magic types together. The magic system felt similar to FF8 in some ways.

And yes, I ignored the car, because it's not a flaw? Oh my GOD, you have to travel by car to various places?! *gasp* oh no, that is so terrible. Nevermind you can fast-travel using the car, OR you can ride chocobos. So yeah, no flaw there.

You are obviously a part of that certain percent of the playerbase who will just complain mindlessly because the game wasn't in the best state at release. I can see by your reviews that you are willing to review bomb, AND that you are willing to iincessently moan about the most minor of issues--that is all I really need to see, to tell that you aren't really the best source of criticism or praise in a game. And while OP shouldn't completely dismiss your opinion of the game, op should also consider other, far less biased opinions too

Ah, another "IMMA GO TO YOUR PROFILE TO FIND THINGS TO TRY TO USE AGAINST YOU!" idiot.

Good to know you're a perfect candidate to be completely ignored.

Hey, my profile is public too. Read my reviews, I actually do more than whine about minor issues. Whereas yours is just "CREATION CLUB BAD, BETHESDA BAD, REEE!!!" It just shows that you aren't objective when reviewing a game, and your opinion has to be taken with a sizeable grain of salt. If you don't want people viewing your profile, especially when you make claims like you did, make it private. Simple.

I have no interest in reading your reviews.

I stand by my negative reviews in regards to the creation club and bethesda's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as someone who has been making and using mods since the 90's.

Charging for them is fundamentally wrong. As is adding post-launch microtransactions to games.

The fact you seem to want to defend them is frankly disgusting.

So a game company putting out their own content, while still allowing 3rd party mods for free, is somehow bad or evil? The more you write, the less sense you make.

Yeah, I defend a game companies right to add their own content to their own game for those who WANT to pay something. it is OPTIONAL. 100% completely optional. You can avoid it entirely. I, too, have been playing games and using mods since the 90s. There is nothing wrong with Bethesda having their own CC in addition to the modding community.

Review bombers like you are the real problem in gaming, because your reviews artificially effect the overall user rating, and give a very biased picture for people who are on the fence when it comes to getting a game.

The fact YOU see what Bethesda has done as a problem, when it really isn't an issue at all, is something that disgusts *me.*

Personally I prefer MHW because the combat system of FF XV, though it’s not bad, it’s complicated. It’s more of a quick style combat like Neir but you can’t really smash buttons. Also the difficulty jump from the story to the final boss fight is huge. It’s like jumping from the normal difficulty of Nier to DS, and there is no supplying during the final boss rush, which is kinda painful. Also I was in for FF XV for the story but the story itself, although is better than MHW, is not really as good as I thought. I was expecting better stories.
