Also work exceptionally well with monsters like Kulve as they take forever to fall asleep. FREE HITS BEFORE IT STARTS SNORIN'.
It's a time vs risk mechanic, similar to mounting. Or you can just use it as a para and attack through it, but is best to let the team know which you want to be doing else they'll do whatever.
Lotsa damage... even without bombs.
And you can even wallbang it right after so an extra down aswell
You can sharpen your weapon. I believe you especially can use that with gunlance and every1 else that lost his 'masters touch'
You could be losing 3.8k damage from a GS wake up for example.
normally the trap does 3100 itself. with sleep its 6200 dmg in 1 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hit. plus free ko afterwards. that more than makes up for waiting a few seconds to perform the sleep. plus you can keep attacking while he falls over. just dont use longass animation attacks during this. free dmg aswell. then wait like 5 seconds for the boulder to land the first hit. done.
people need to learn to use thier tools and enviroment better really.
I don't do this on naturally sleeping monsters. I understand the GS is the best weapon to "wake" them up.
Even if a monster falls asleep enraged, you can still flinch shot and claw attack it.
just because a weapon doesn't shake a rattle in your face of WOW BIG NUMBERS (which is all I can assume causes people to just keep attacking while something is clearly falling asleep) doesn't make it bad. Everything everyone said above me is right.
