This is used with a Longsword, I am sure you can swap it out for most melee weapons tho, as OP mentioned a hammer.
Heroics activates at 35% or lower HP
So with 3+ Health Boost it activates at roughly 52HP (1/3 of you total HP)
You can get up to 1803 base dmg with my build in heroics ( + food buff att(L) + demon drug + spirit gauge sitting in the red ofc).
You can pump it up to 2300 with evasion mantle proc.
Your affinity will sit at a base of 60% with maximum might and critical eye.
Goes up to 90% with weakness exploit and at 110% with wounded parts. KeK 10% over 100
I usually try and eat for Feline Moxie at the canteen for the Guts effect.

Some questions.
Feel free to take out the Expert lvl1 jewels, the Refresh Jewel, and throw in Recovery jewels.
The Recovery really helps keep you alive, esp with the Rocksteady Mantle.
There's potential with those.
Only issue I'm thinking with the OP's idea. When does Heroics trigger compared to guts? If they both meet at 35%, then guts won't trigger in theory.
So the set that I built in the editor there isn't the exact same as the guy who runs it from the video I saw (Same armour and skills tho) I just wanted to see if it would output more damage than my build, and it does by a good amount too.

The build is from Peppo who's a speed runner. So your skill of not getting hit needs to be part of the build....
He does run Attack jewels on his mantle to boost it up to 7.
So to make it work Health Boost of at least 2 would be mandatory (on top of a Fresh Meal/Max Potion):
Health Boost 3:
35% of 200 = 70 = 10HP window, where Guts is available and Heroics is active.
Health Boost 2:
35% of 180 = 63 = 3HP window
And, for reference:
Health Boost 1:
35% of 165 = 57.75 = No Window
No health Boost:
35% of 150 = 52.5 = No Window
