Mod for SOS? or Group cutscene?
I want to play this game with my cousin from the first quest to last....right now we have to both play through the entire single player campaign alone just to be able to play main quests together, and replaying a quest you just played, is not fun. He can't even see my SOS without first completing the same mission I have...

Please someone tell me there is a mod that can fix this? That can make it possible to play with your friend at all times?

Unfortunately, there's nothing that can be done about the cutscene issue.

As a note though, SOS flares aren't needed. As long as you're both in the same session, you can join each others quests once the cutscene has played.

No mod as far as I'm aware, but you're better bet is for both of you to back out of your quests as soon as SOS flares are available; that way you can hunt together.

For assigned quest you both have to have seen the cutscene. This is what is preventing you from both doing the same quest immediately. What you want to do is join each others lobby so you don't have to use SoS. Have one at a time or both at the same time jump into your respective quests then one of you "returns" after seeing the cutscene. Then, they can join the other players quest as soon as they see the cutscene.

Example:
-Both of you start your quests. Both of you see the cutscene at the same time.
-One of you "Return from Quest" , then joins the other players quest.

You don't have to do this for optional quests, but for all Assigned quests there is a story element you have to go through first.

Edited to say "return" instead of "abandon".

Not abandon, "Return from Quest". Abandon will delete all your progress in the quest, including the cutscene watch I believe.

You might be right. Better to use the Return feature, just in case.

Thank you so much for all your replies guys! I'll try out your solution once my cousin is in the mood to play again Tregrenos! I am really grateful! :) I'll post in this thread if I have anymore problems! Thank you so much guys! Have a great evening!

I can confirm it is indeed the "Return from Quest" option you should choose. Abandon Quest assumes that you made a mistake in starting this quest and want to return back to base. Items you used during the quest will be returned to you and items you picked up will be taken from you. It basically reverts you back to the state you were before you set off on the hunt. This includes any story progress.

Wheras Return from Quest option assumes you have done what you wanted to do in this quest and would like to go back. Items you used will not be restored and items you picked up will be retained. Story progress is also retained.

You can be sneaky, which is more effective! All you have to do to play story missions at the same time, is simply start the quest separately, watch the opening cutscene, then bail with
the "return from quest" option in the start menu! After this process, it will let you do the quest together! It doesn't work for story expeditions with cutscenes, however. I know it's a pain and a hassle to do, but it's the only way I can find to make it work. (P.S. for a lot of story expeditions if you bail after the cutscene, it turns into a multiplayer quest! I'm not sure if it works on all of them, though.)
