Playing MHW on a budget. Will this laptop run it fine?
I'm soon getting a gaming laptop and bought this game in advance. Watched lots of benchmarks and reviews but I'd still like to know personal thoughts of people with similar specs.
The laptop I'm getting has a i5 9300H and Nvidia Geforce GTX 1650 4gb. Is this enough to run the game decently?

should be. my rig is i5 something somehting and gtx970 and it runs nice and smoothly on high settings, at about 40-50 fps.

You should be fine, just one thing, once you get the laptop, disable the Volume rendering quality, it's just the fog that hangs around maps and it absolutely kills performance in low-mid range PCs, before upgrading my PC the difference between off and on was almost 20frames.

You should be fine, I sometimes play in my laptop with R5 2500u.
Got 20-40fps in 720p low with igpu.

Thank you everyone. Seems like I'll be okay then. I don't care about graphics but as long as I get steady 60fps with everything on Medium at 720p I'll be satisfied.

reasonable goal. jsut make sure your antivirus is disabled, laptop tuned to performance mode under power options, minimal apps running in the background, etc. let MHW become your laptops only focus and you'll be fine.

...

dont play with it on your lap without a buffer. im sure it'll get hot.

I'm running an i5 4690k from 2014 (overclocked to 4.2 Ghz but stock voltage), with a GTX 1060 6gb. Using DX12 I get stable 60 FPS everywhere 1080p max settings.

Spec-wise your system is close to mine if I removed the OC and played in DX11 (since I don't think you have the Vram requirement for DX12), so you should expect 720p high to be 50-60 or 1080p high staying around 40.

what? DX11 and DX12 dont use different VRAM... VRAM is used by the game textures not the API... wtf?

DX12 uses more vram than DX11 in MHW. Capcom flat out stated that.
