Great Sword build recommendation?
Hi, currently trying out Great Sword but not sure what how to build it.
So I did a couple of experiments on builds and this is my end result. I wonder is this build good for Great Sword?!?! I had like 4 slots left available so i just fill in lv 3 quick sheath and lv 1 divine blessing.

Do share your Great Sword builds, much appreciated!

Yea, that's pretty much what I use, minus the attack boost.
Sometimes I just sub in the gold rathian chest and coil to face tank everything with tackle.

Probably, yeah. GS naturally sheathes very quickly so you'd probably get more mileage out of the added survivability.

Quick sheath doesn't really do anything outside of frostcraft crit draw builds.
You might want something like stun immunity or speed eating instead.
I'm Frostcraft GS player here, playing it with quick sheath is comfortable as you have overall more mobility and damages on your two first hits (it's still difficult to hit and time your TCS).
Quick sheath on a non-frostcraft GS is not really useful as long as you can block physical attacks directly instead of sheathing and rolling (or diving).
Using earplugs skill on a GS build might be really interesting, when a monster roars, it doesn't cancel your potential TCS, and you can enjoy dealing big damages easily.
I'd suggest you to try to put earplugs 5, and remove quick sheath, if you run out of deco slots, you should use attack boost 4 instead of 7 just for the extra 5% affinity, you won't lose much damages. IIRC, earplugs charm gives you earplugs 4

^solid advice but lemme add my opinion in regards to earplugs on GS. You can ofc play how you want just sayin...

Earplugs is a heavy crutch because with it.. you wont learn the timing to tackle roars which is important if you want to improve your GS skills.

2 handed amirite?

I'd recommend evasion skills, I usually get into the zone where I'm so used to a monsters attack pattern at close range that I roll through most the attacks, quick slash, sling and TCS, just a couple will stagger giving time to tender key areas, you know the drill.

Online play is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nightmare though, especially if you have some of those "gunners".

yeah 2-handed weapon, because real man doesn't use shield or shooting enemy from afar. @OP btw why you not using lightbreak greatsword?
