MR Kulve is terrible
Why the hell does she still leaves if you don't break enough parts? I though capcom was supposed to remove dumb gimmicks from that quest.

Switching gear costs you so much time and she's not even weak enough to ice to warrant switching unless maybe you run DB.

When her coat falls off, Ice is and always has been the best element to use on her. Blast is only good for breaking her coat ASAP in the first phase, and then since her status cap has gone up by that point you get less blast procs from then on, thus increasing the strength of Ice weapons.

Only question is if the trek back from camp is worth that difference in DPS and it probably is negligible. So you should probably just bring Ice in the first place knowing everyone else will be bringing blast weapons.

Hate to tell you but MR Kulve is 20 ice at best lmao https://mhworld.kiranico.com/monsters/5xbCn/kulve-taroth
That's 40% of the original highest hitzone, element is dead on her.

They're not showing the difference between her mantle and her skin, so I'm not sure what to make of that page's info still.

Just trust me when I say that I was utterly disappointed on my first time fighting her, hitting the first SAED with 1030 ice Beo CB only to see low 200 damage numbers, her ice htzones are gone.

You don't even need blast to break her parts, just wound and then wallbang, the armor will takes enormous part damage

I'm just pissed she can also leave in the final area. Like damn whats the point of a quest timer if I only have 5 min before she leaves.

they took my absolute favourite hunt out of any MH game and utterly butchered it with this quest. Not enjoyable it all. All she does is roll, belly slam, roll, belly slam, roll, belly slam, HEADBUTT, roll. Over and over and over again.

This thread is like a year old, first off.

Just tenderize her chest and wall bang, it'll break both her chest parts and allow you to go molten faster since you do more damage to her broken chest area. Then it should be pretty easy to just go around breaking parts. If that's still challenging for you, you're likely undergeared or playing too passively.

As for AI spamming moves, that's just monster hunter. KT has always had huge, room wide moves where she rolls around or sweeps her tail or whatnot. You can at least i-frame the move where you rams her horns directly beneath her.

Or you stop standing behind her and fight her head on so she doesn't roll around trying to get you out of her ass. Monsters don't do a lot of random moves, they are trying to get you, so if she's rolling all the time you're in a place where she thinks the best response is to roll. I can't phantom how we can be a year in after her release and someone still doesn't bother to look up resources or speedruns to see how people deal with her. Instead they just go into a hunt and expect magic to happen; and when it doesn't they show up here to complain. KT is not some braindead siege like safi, she isn't a sponge that randomly zaps a player with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moves, she actually fights and the more systematic you are about fighting her, the easier the hunt is.

No true IMO, ice CB does crazy amounts of damage when she's uncoated. But going raw with fatty weapons also do a lot of damage, not worth the trip back to camp to me. Unless u play godly and can hit AEDs in her head 100% of the time. My best time soloing her was about 10min with fatty CB, I'll try to get it down by switching to ice kjarr on phase 2 to be sure. I'd say CB is the only weapon worth changing to ice element cause it's very very strong ice, and DB has good element but can't hit head consistently IMO.

It doesn't matter which of the CBs you use, there's no point in going back to camp. When she was released I was getting better times (and better completion) with raw CB over ice CB. Things probably have changed a little now since I can aim for the arms a lot better, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is one of the few cases where a raw CB still beats an ice CB in savage mode. Oh yeah, don't SAED or even AED KT, just upswing downswing all the way.

I grinded the ♥♥♥♥ out of her when she came out and have fought her over 600 times. *I* can fight her just fine and get plenty of breaks, thank you very much. The headbutt and barrel roll spam happens in single player and is frankly unbearable no matter where you're standing to hit her. And the hitboxes are enourmous as I am sure you already know since you seem so knowlegeable on the subject. Even if you safety dive, you still get hit by the end of her barrel roll because the attack animation is so long. That said I rarely ever cart from her even in MR with her ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ headbutt attacks, it's just super annoying contantly trying to catch up to her when she rolls to the over side of the cavern. The serious issue I've been having is people in multiplayer SOSes, who don't keep an eye on their health, or join with non augmented armour, and tripple cart. I have yet to kill a single MR kulve in muliplayer, because everyone that keeps joining SOS keeps ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dying. But hey ho assume what you will.
CovfefeCat Feb 27, 2021 @ 9:54am
So then your issue isn't with the fight, it's with your teammates. Let's just nerf Great Jagras now, because I joined an SOS to help out new players and watched them triple cart to it.

Stop crying over the easiest MH title released.

It's not the easiest MH title, the difficulty just comes in different forms; unless you play HBG or longsword of course. But yeah, if you join an SOS you can expect things to go gloriously wrong. If it isn't a ranged player out of position it's a longsword/dual blader/incest glaiver stabbing you in the back. Even in casual lobbies you will get ♥♥♥♥ like this with people that have a "Don't tell me what to do" attitude. So you either look for likeminded people or you solo her. She's perfectly easy to solo these days.
