I'd prefer they port the exclusive content and such as SFV and the HZD caster bowgun but I prefer the loadtimes here. Overall I don't mind migrating despite the longish save time I had on PS4.
Not everyone has been as lucky with the game but, that also means that not everyone has had issues with the game either.
Regardless of all the port problems, PC > console cause of faster load times, higher FPS potential, higher graphics quality potential, and mods. Also the option to use mouse and keyboard.
I have 2 friends who played on the PS4. Having watched me played on PC, they quickly switched over because of loading time. To be fair though, I had MHW located on SSD so it is the fastest you can ever get.
Long story short, see for yourself:

However, like may have mentioned, due to many different configuration amongst PC, PC version tends to be more buggy and may crash randomly.
Its not a bad port people just have much higher standards on PC.
The game has load times lasting up to 5 minutes just to get in to a hunt on consoles compared to less than a minute on PC even on an old Mechanical HDD.
Runs at sub 30 fps on base models of consoels and cant even reach 1080p on Xbox base.
And on top of this has much worse grafical detail.
And you have to pay to play online.
And console users are somehow OK with this.
Meanwhile on a 700$ PC the game can dip in to 45 fps during the most particle intensive fights (which dip the FPS under 20 on consoles )and this is considered by many people bad optimization. And yea the game had ocasional updates that made the game sop working on some PCs unles you add the game to the antivirus exception list.
In esence console users are used to just accepting technical issues due to console limitations.
While PC users kinda expect solid optimization on all games.
Eh, Steam rarely "dies" in any other game, how weird.
Consoles are also like $200, comparing them is not fair.
Kb/m are kinda awful in this game, it's clearly meant to be played with a controller.
Please don't listen to that guy, he comes into every post like this to whine about performance issues even after revealing he's trying to run the game on a GTX 750ti. He's full of ♥♥♥♥ and needs to learn to stop.
Am I allowed to whine then?
i7-4790k, 32GB RAM, 1080ti
Still stuck with 100% cpu usage, although there was one patch just prior to Stygian Zinogre where it was finally behaving normally (~60-80% load), still having massive framerate issues in guiding lands. Had 0 issues with base MHW@1080p getting ~70fps during fights, but since Iceborne fights have been dipping below 40fps.
Capcom's poorly made anti-tamper also prevented me from even playing the game for 2 weeks, nothing to do with my rig, everything to do with Capcom terminating the game on anything it didn't like.
Iceborne flat out introduced a ton of performance issues that did not exist in base MHW.
The game crashes because of the aggressive anti tempering+ the spaghetti coding which is something consoles have been spared from.
Also, any crash related to drivers is rare and usually its just visual glitches or straight up performance loss when the driver is involved.
Like the previous commentator said It's a lottery. To this day there are issues 2 years old on the pc version that have still not been fixed to this day. Cough **input stuttering Cough*** if this tells you anything on capcoms ability to fix stuff.
Yeah, have a friend on PS4 too. Guiding Lands loading times s*cks when he is hunting for tempered Namielle. When he ask me I just said keep reloading GL then that's what he said on loading times haha. I'm loved it on siege too. You will see who uses SSD when you finished a siege. Your character can move right away while you watching your party character standing still on landing point and waiting for them to run for the next siege hehe. They are seeing the loading screen at the moment haha.
