Getting Tempered Dragonhold. Without 100 Hours of grinding?
So I need 6 Tempered Dragonholds to upgrade 3 Stygian Zinogre weapons. I assume they drop like any other material in the guiding lands from Monsters, so on mass bei just wounding them? The Problem is, you need the Tundra biome on level 7 for that. For which you need again Master Rank 100. I am 53 right now. I dont see myself grinding 50 Master Ranks to upgrade weapons which Ill never use then because I will hate Monster Hunter at that point and never play again. So is there another way? Any way? Can someone host me a Level 7 Tundra region or cant I join those too unless I am MR 100?

Just do hunts you enjoy. Grinding mr isnt all the hard, imo, because there are so many events going on and there is always a few on at a time you can choose to do for bonus mr. Then, just murder things in your guiding lands the specific way you need to to level the frosty boi. You don't need to grind out anything you don't want to, so just play as you see fit.

EDIT: pretty sure you cant get into someones guiding lands if your not high enough mr, even through hosting. forgot to mention that

There are MR and area unlock restrictions for matching in Guiding Lands.

just run the deco event quest with tempered doggoboi. youll need the decos anyway sooner or later and this way you can combine this with mr gain aswell.

and no. there is no other way to obtain tempered dragonhold. the stygian weapons are not the best tough and you can obtain better weapons alot sooner than these aswell now. so unless you really want the skin of them there is not really a reason to get em.

termpered dragonhold is also required for extra slots lvl 3 anyway on all weapons.
also if youre playing melee and want health aug on r12 you need lvl 7 coral anyway. mr 100 is pretty much required if you want to make use of everything unless you cheat (in which case you may aswell stop playing the game right now aswell as cheating on a grinding game to bypass the grind kinda defeats the point of playing entirely)

The restrictions on rajang and Zinogres weapons are stupid I have always held that stance even if it no concern to me weapons should be fully upgradable when you unlock the monster making them require the regular guiding land mats would of been better

Unfortunately there's no way around it just shelf them for now and work on something else you'll hit MR100 sooner or later

Still have to be 100+ if needing a host

2 birds with one stone, get decos while getting MR points

this quest is easy as ♥♥♥♥. how do people fail 6 times in 10 minutes? 1 run takes around 5-7 minutes depending on group. so how can you fail 6 times in 10 minutes even? did you solo it or group?

the quest i mean is called

"the wrath of thunder descends" tempered zinogre. eventquest.

If you don't like grinding, you might as well uninstall now.
You've beaten the game already, technically, anyways.

not 6 tiems in 10 minutes. 6 times total with 10 minute per quest. because that thing two hits me and my mate, eben though our armor is rarity 11 and fully upgraded.

he has very few attacks that can 2 shot by default. and most of these that can are super slow and delayed for this reason aswell.

if youre playing ranged 2 shots are possible. melee rarely get 2 shot unless they dont run hb 3 which is well. stupid as a melee period.

if youre playing ranged you should face zero issues with him tbh. you can see half his moves comeing a mile away and dodge em.

just learn how to fight doggo and what attacks to dodge and how. he is one of the very fair fights of iceborne imo. has fair openings and hugely telegraphped attacks unlike some monsters which lack openings and have nearly no windup on some of thier moves.

also knock him out of supercharged mode asap by koing him or flinching him.
