Can we capture Ragin Brachy?

In the area of the last phase, it seems that we cannot put a trap, so I have no choice but to kill him.

But other than fighting in the final ground, we can put a trap, so technically I think it is possible, but capturing during the earlier fight phase is so difficult.

Anyone capture him?

Doesnt capturing him fail the quest? i saw something about it around when it released for consoles but im 90% sure its a slay quest

You can't capture him during the quest, but I guess you can when you will encounter him in the Guiding Lands

you can't encounter Raging Brachydios outside of his side quest. and you can capture him. it's an instant quest failed but you can.

It's a slay quest. You can cap it if you trigger the palico trap to lay with correct timing timing during the ground hitting. As it is a slay quest you will fail, but you still get capture rewards.

I tested it, indeed it works. But as said in the video it doesn't count as a capture (your counter will still be a -). And it doesn't give you any material that can't be aquiered by killing him. It makes ,however, some material more likely to drop...but for this amount of trouble ?

the answer is yes, you can capture him. but doing so during the quest will fail the quest.
