LS users' tendency to be noobs
is it me, but most of LS users I meet are usually the players who do not tenderise at all, don't flinch shot, don't use traps, don't use enviromental traps. They simply cling to whatever place is tenderised by others and if not, they will just attack the sh?ttiest hitboxes. They can be mr 100-150+, but be more annoying than those who haven't reached mr100. After them comes DB users.

On the other hand, most GS, hammer, SnS, gunlance users I meet do tenderise and try to flinch shot.

Ls is like 20% of the population so they have more terrible players and because their wp is flashy we can all see their failures. People in general don't like to tenderize, coz it's a terrible mechanic.

#1 played weapon with not 1 but 2 invincible counter moves
LS is flashy as hell but its difficulty as a weapon is training wheels on training wheels, of course a lot of the players using it are going to suck at the game because lots of players are using it

Is it me, or is this same thread on every page of this board?

Whenever I gotta tenderize or flinch shot with DB I feel like I'm doing it because the GS, hammer, SnS, gunlance users aren't doing their damn job. Why do I join a fight to see a yellow eye on minimap and not one of these guys is even trying to flinch shot it?

Just a majority a players are playing it, you're just unlucky

at least, you can tenderise in one go. I have to look for openings twice with the bow or end my just pathetic combo on a downed monster with clutch claw.

Doesn't matter that most used weapon is LS. I'd hope that closer to mr100, they'd have enough experience to appreciate the importance of clutch claw, hitboxes and environmental traps

LS also have to do it TWICE.
LS is classified as LIGHT weapon by default.

Context. OP's talking about DBs in the comment you're replying to.

That being said, this thread is functionally pointless. Most LS players I run into personally do just fine. I'm just as likely to run into a bad IG or DB player than I am an LS player, and while LS is the most played weapon, I don't assume the skill curve is any different than any other weapon. Point being that it's all anecdotal.

As a gunlance user i have to flinch shot the monster to place my wyvernstake when the monster is down.

They really need to change the claw to tenderize in one hit and drop slinger ammo for all weapons. It's annoying to keep parts tenderized with a light weapon.
Raine Apr 8, 2020 @ 9:21am
can't tenderise in 1 hit with longsword. even when playing solo with the weapon i just don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bother doing it anymore.

It needs a mid-combo tenderising attack like dualblades.

I completely stopped using longsword, dual blades and kinsect glaive when iceborne came out because of it.

at least DBs can do it in 1 attack again. they're usable. other weapons still aren't.

SA only :/

At least IG kinda sorta has a claw move out of aerial, which I think is marginally faster and rarely useful, but yeah I really kinda wished they'd make the aerial claw 1 hit and give all the other light weapons some sort of unique claw attack like DBs and SnS do.

They don't know they can build tons of meter with their shortest claw attack animation in the game I guess.

1.3k+ LS user here, I usually do wallbang > tenderize > wallbang > tenderize when the hunt begin. During the hunt I will only tenderize when the monster is exhausted (drooling stagger animation).

But if I ever see those 3 ♥♥♥♥♥ keep attacking when the monster is drooling, don't expect me to tenderize anymore even if I could.

It's due to Youtubers screeching about how strong LS is.

That's what I usually do. But only if I got there first.

Also, do not expect me to tenderize the parts I'm not hitting. (I usually starts from the tail).
