LS is flashy as hell but its difficulty as a weapon is training wheels on training wheels, of course a lot of the players using it are going to suck at the game because lots of players are using it
Whenever I gotta tenderize or flinch shot with DB I feel like I'm doing it because the GS, hammer, SnS, gunlance users aren't doing their damn job. Why do I join a fight to see a yellow eye on minimap and not one of these guys is even trying to flinch shot it?
Doesn't matter that most used weapon is LS. I'd hope that closer to mr100, they'd have enough experience to appreciate the importance of clutch claw, hitboxes and environmental traps
LS is classified as LIGHT weapon by default.
That being said, this thread is functionally pointless. Most LS players I run into personally do just fine. I'm just as likely to run into a bad IG or DB player than I am an LS player, and while LS is the most played weapon, I don't assume the skill curve is any different than any other weapon. Point being that it's all anecdotal.
It needs a mid-combo tenderising attack like dualblades.
I completely stopped using longsword, dual blades and kinsect glaive when iceborne came out because of it.
at least DBs can do it in 1 attack again. they're usable. other weapons still aren't.
SA only :/
But if I ever see those 3 ♥♥♥♥♥ keep attacking when the monster is drooling, don't expect me to tenderize anymore even if I could.
Also, do not expect me to tenderize the parts I'm not hitting. (I usually starts from the tail).
