To swap the B/X inputs you have to do it in the steam settings. There doesn't seem to be any other way around it unfortunately.
Having the ability to change button mappings on the controller isn't that ludicrous of an idea you strange, strange man. Most games do it.
Steam controller remapping has never been anything but difficult for me, and even today trying to get it to work it just plain doesn't make any sense. I tried to do a simple swap of X and B and somehow my confirm button ended up being A, and I had never even touched it.
You're likely not older than me because you obviously haven't heard much in your safe space.
How this is difficult for you https://gyazo.com/20025cc251e579088cb4409868baf00d
Remap go back, and secondary action, click save and go play.
You clearly don't intend to be helpful.
The Steam Option to Map everything on the controller is there because most games don't allow it (Hello Console Port), you get most of the time 2 or 3 predetermined control settings and that's it
