But my personal favorite is perhaps Gogmazios, he looks scary and cool in same time..
I feel we can genuinely blame the Japanese playerbase for Zorah, because they LOOOOOVE Lao Shen Lung for some ungodly reason.
wasn't ashen lao shen lung the worst subspecies ever? (i mean the least different)
I have no clue how Lao Shan can have such a huge fanbase compared to other siege monster.
But its still better then Zorah
AT zorah was pretty good IMO.
I honestly still don't like him even his AT version, idk it's just all same thing like before except this time we have to driving out nergi and the time limit now becomes the real monster to slay.
Only doing it for tickets and then never touch it again, but still not as worst as AT Kushala back then..
I can never understand why people seem to hate zorah more he was bigger it felt more important and we even had to fight another monster on his back (I know you dont have to but ♥♥♥♥ i did the first time fighting it).
-the music being loud and mighty gives you a sense of urgency that made the whole quest amazing, and Jhen's iconic loud-sounding scream as you manage to break it's part.
-climbing on the monster being a TEMPORARY situation as Jhen will eventually get sick of it and knock you off.
-the dragonator being a tool for survival against Jhen's charge, giving veterans a chance to show off as they know when to time it and teach the new hunters.
and then you have Zorah, a monster that doesn't care you're on it
-the slow crawl of climbing
-speed being non existent in the setting
-the map is just a big cavern with lava
-the music being so tame
-it's only "attacks" being accidental lava farts
-it's scream being muffled OWs as you break parts
-an external source like nergigante needing to come to add some spice (and also the only living thing Zorah actually tries to harm)
both final parts are similar, you're on a ship/wall using cannons and ballista.
whoever, with Mohran you can just ditch the ship and whack it's ass with your own weapons, Zorah you can't. yes you can climb on it's head to attack it, but it's so clumsy up there, and most of the time you'll get knocked off by binders anyway or the quest will end before you can get that sense of empowerment, and again, the dragonator is more of a damage dealer than a survival tool compared to Mohran because the overabundance of binders with Zorah.
AND when you use the dragonator in the 2nd part, that booming fantastic theme start playing the moment the drill connect with Mohran, giving you a blast of energy.
Zorah's tho. MHW's dragonator theme sound so softer compared to Tri because the sound mixing doesn't give it the edge it need to create that "pop", it just start playing, instead of exploding.
Jhen and Zorah are day and night in contrast to each other (and yes, AT Zorah is a significant step up because of it's massive health pool and damage, but a number boost cannot match craft)
and i don't hate the Zorah fight, it just lack meat with it's atmosphere, a lot of it.
