i could use some help to get the guard up decoration

iv been doing the name's lavasioth for a while, wanted to know if i was on the right quest, and i would really appreciate some help with this, or advice or anything really, any help is appreciated

Yup, Lavasioth is your best bet. It's only a matter of luck unfortunately (I'm still missing this one, I know your pain), keep farming it or hope you can get worn or warped feystones on MR tempered monsters.

Guiding lands, that's one of the best place to get rare decors rn, i got shield jewel from there as well at my 800H playing back then..
Just don't expect it from silver melding tickets because the rarest decors aren't dropped from there (Shield, Mind's eye, Sharp, Elementless, Mighty Bow).
You can also keep doing first wyverian ritual with trash decors you get from the tickets.
The other method is by keep doing T3 investigation from high rank..

That could help too, or perhaps you can also wear 3 pieces of Kirin armor or 2 pieces Guild armor for increasing the extra reward as well..

I can't exactly help you rn because i am away from my pc, honestly kirin isn't a threat with most shield weapons especially hbg, lance and gunlance, but yeah you need guard up to block some of his lightning.
So that's why for temporary solution i suggest you to try 2 pieces uragaan armor because it will give you a guard up skill, once you augment the armor then it will give a decent defense stat as well which is not actually that bad, not to mention his armor have ironwall skill too, you can probably try using that until you successfully get the decor..

1200 hours of pure lance gameplay(700MR) and never found one. Best if you stop looking for it and just rely on the bulwark charm for enemies with unblockable attacks.

Guard Up and Sharp (prevent sharpness loss after sharpening) were both a pain to get, I feel you bro. At least everyone got 'Mind's Eye' earlier this year for logging in. That's one useful jewel for some monsters.

I got my first from MR Kulve Taroth a week ago. Then I got many from various quests. It's just luck.

My advice is to make a seasonal armor build and convert it for gathering. Run the "Floral Frostbite" event repeatedly for fast deco while your set gives you a high chance at getting VIP tickets to convert to gold rewards. You won't have to eat for Lucky Cat because the Floral Frostbite event is so fast you'll just be wasting time going to eat between quests.

If you have access to a Saffi weapon with the Kirin essence you can also build for a VIP+Great Luck build. I only suggest this for the Zinogre Event as it has a better chance at dropping high end deco.

No guard up has been proven to not drop from silver tickets, maybe you mean guard/ironwall decor

Good luck, I’m fortunate enough to have 2 of them in 1100+ hours but I heard people not getting it even at 1200 hours. Hopefully they add minds eye, mighty bow and guard up to the silver melding ticket’s lootpool so that people can catch up.
