in my knowledge flinch free 1 do nothing against this dash, and nobody would like to use flinch free 3(if its worked)
I get mowed down sometimes, but I don't really get mad, just jealous.
But, on topic.
I wouldn't stress about trying to weave charge into your combos until you're really comfortable with everything else you can do with lance. 3 poke, cancel 3 poke is still solid damage while you're learning. And if you're near other teammates you're never going to accidentally mini-charge into anyone ans reduce their damage while they have to recover from flinch.
As for using it in general play to close the gap, it's very situational. I either press guard before I hit them and cancel the charge, try to side hop if i think it'll actually miss them, or just mow them down because I'm the only one that's going to get to point X in time to press the attack anyway and they can just catch up 2 seconds slower.
