How do layered armors work ?
I'm just beginning the story, and I can't find information on layered armors.

Can we mix the layered parts ?

Can we change the colors ?

Can I have a legiana layered armor ?

Do we have a lot of choices beside the "weird armors that are just for funs like the big cat head" ?

Many layered armors are unlocked through certain event quests (they will often mention rewarding a special ticket of some sort), or by obtaining the necessary materials by fighting monsters in the guiding lands (post-game content from the expansion) and using those materials to craft the armor at the smithy.

You can wear whatever parts you want, as almost all low and high rank armors are now available.

Yes, you can change the colors.

Yes, there is Legiana layered armor.

If you have Iceborne, then yes, there is plenty to choose from.

You can mix layered parts, change the dye, and there is a Legiana layered set. The Legiana layered is Iceborne content, though, so if you just have base game you can't make it. The majority of the layered armors available in base game are through Arch Tempered elders and events; the only non-event one that comes to mind is the Brigade layered set.

1) you can
2) yes.
3) you need to finish the Iceborne story and do some post game before getting it. so you will probably not have it before a LONG time.
4) there are some randoms armors, but after the iceborne story every set from low/high rank becomes avaible. but you need do to some post game grind.

I don't believe you will have access to layered armour until you finish monster hunter world. Then in Iceborne after end game, you will be able to unlock most of the layered armour. Though, there is plenty of good looking layered armour you can get even before starting iceborne (though it will be tad hard). Also, look out for events.

Thank you all, my motivation rised a lot !

I meant I was beginning the Iceborn story.

I didn't know that they were layered armor in MH World without Iceborne though.

With later updates they also implement more layered armor. Since we don't have layerd sets from current MR armor.

Layered weapons are also on their way.

Nice ! Really happy to know that, since I want to avoid using mods (don't have any reason, I just don't want it).

yeah, check out event quests (they give layered armour, most of them look cool) and they are not that hard to get. Harder ones to get are arch tempered elders, savage behemoth and arena ones.
