there are remote office options though
It seems it may the case. A lot of people at home plus a new siege. In fact, considering it I did not find so many disconnection issues...
This issue started after the latest patch which added Safi and Stygian Zinogre, but whether the patch itself caused it or the high server traffic is hard to say.
I've had days were I had 0 disconnects while on other occasions I disconnected 3 times in a row.
I did notice that I remained connected to Steam during the disconnects, though this doesn't rule out the high traffic as the cause.
You can report it to Capcom by using the official support channels, which would allow them to determine whether the game itself is the issue.
The game had a similar issue at launch so this issue might have resurfaced after the latest patch.
Make sure that youre playing on a wired connection and that your internet connection is stable and working correctly, before reporting it to Capcom as this will speed up the process.
Sucks......
Just today I got 3 consecutive disconnects from Safi'Jiva siege. Out of 1 hour of configuration and trying to play the game I got 10 minutes from it. After the 3rd time in a row being disconnected, I gave up and went to play stable games instead.
You might be wondering if the problem is on my end. No, I can assure you it is not. This is an exclusive problem of Monster Hunter World, I have a 100 Mb stable cable internet connection and I study ICT-Engineering so I know where the problem would show up if it were on my end and had resolved it.
I don't think that it is a CAPCOM's problem and more of a Steam problem. After the patch I have been able to play with no disconnections except for three occasions so far. So, I would bet that Steam MHW servers are handling a lot of traffic since there is a lot of people quarentined at home that coincided with an important siege.
