Coral is considered the best due to the buffs, a lot of folks use meowlotov for the extra damage.
Its auto use on first cart. What do you mean relies on the players to be smart with it?
In my case, I find it super useful. The cat automatically places one close to the beginning of the fight, which you can access whenever you want. If it happens that you are near it when you take damage, it can get you a quick heal.
The second wasp (the one that the cat uses automatically on you) works also really good, about 75% of the times comes when I most need it and, in some situations, it was crucial... sorry for your palico, mine was born to be wild... I mean... born to be a Doctor.
Finally, the revival thing has invurelnavility frames and I found the opposite to what you mention. I think that the chance for you to get the hit when being brought back to life is really low as, either the monster has already attacked and goes through your invulnerability, or the monster is going to attack and you can roll out to one side. I don't cart a lot but, from all the times that I was revived, only once I had the bad luck of getting hit while recovering. So I love it.
I also find it specially usefull in some situations such as:
- Eventhough I have a lot of money (in game, LOL) I like collecting so, when I use vouchers to double quests with a lot of money, I don't want to cart. It gives me some extra confidence to have the revival and to get the 100% of the reward.
- For those quest limited to two players, particularly if you are helping someone, you don't want to accedentally cart (sometimes it happens), but you want to leave all the carts for the guest.
I won't change my vigorwasp, my cat uses it really well....
The best gadget is the meowlotov and cage for melee.
Shield is op and god tier for range users.
No offense, but it sounds like you're bad if you needed to rely on a noob crutch revival move after you get carted.
Try eating for moxie instead, or safeguard, and use coral orchestra, or mewlotov.
For a late game gadget, it's pretty bad compare to anything else. Would have been fine if it's a starting item.
Or I’m just pointing out a dumb gadget.
Go away zoomer.
Vigorwasp Revival kept me from carting in the entirety of Iceborne.
The SINGLE time i carted was when Shara came after Ruiner without being able to replenish heals, I couldnt expect that.
With that I can say Vigorwasp proved to me its worth.
The best solo palico weapons are still Shieldspire for range and Flashfly Cage (for wyverns)/ Coral Orchestra (for elders). Meowlotov is a great all arounder, and you can get some use out of vigorwasp for weapons with high sheathe like HBG as long as you don't rely on the revival.
This. All these people praising it on how it saved them many times simply got lucky or were fighting a monster that's not very aggressive. Not to mention if you have any damaging blights on you, you're as good as dead anyway. The reason you bring the healing gadget is for the heals, not for the RNG revival.
