It's just RNG, and luck. Better chances for 5 star things with a higher awakening level on your weapon and the more potential you stack, other than crossing your fingers that's about all you can do to increase the chances.
Example. Element dbs. Get all element maxed first. Then focus on the set part you want.
Do not waste mats by wanting it first.
Well take from someone who has tried it, it's better to put elemental there, or hell, even status coating.
You can't effectively save scum an individual weapon (if you make exactly the same choices you'll always get the same options) but each weapon will progress differently, so if you have 2 or 3 copies of the weapon, you can save scum to see which is best to invest into by which, if any, give you a rare enhancement.
This is also my experience: Is as common as the rest of the essences....
In fact, it may be RNG but what I found the hardest thing is the Status effect (Status, not elemental)
Not to mention awaken level has nothing to do with what you getting.
I've got Teos in awaken 4 and I've got weapon that won't show Teos with 30 potentials
IT's just RNG
To explain the reason for this methodology: Regardless of the amount of awakening slots you have filled or what you have them filled with, storing potential will increase the rarity of options offered. This means that a maxed out stored potential is more likely to give you the option of (for instance) attack 3 over attack 2. This is a ludicrously inefficient way to get attack 3, however, as you can increase your odds of getting attack 3 at 0 stored potential by simply selecting attack 2 earlier on. Lacking a clearly defined incremental upgrade path, no such condition applies to set bonuses and they go purely off assigned rarity, so the likelihood of getting higher rarity skills is increased by storing potential alone.
If you roll for the Essence Bonus first, you will constantly roll Element Up awakenings,
which you skip to get them again later.
But when you have maxed out Element Up´s, you won`t roll Element Up anymore. Which highly increases your chance of getting Essence rolls. Not to mention that theres a chance you roll it whilst upgrading your Element Up´s.
No.
Why not ? Assuming everything has the same dropchance, eliminating one possible option increases the chance for the others, maybe not "highly" but it should be an increase.
