Good riddance they got wiped out.
The definition of right and wrong changes with time. Can't really judge 'em for that. If someone today killed their neighbour and plucked their heart out and offered it to their sun god, sure judge 'em and shun 'em and all that taff though, I guess
True. Today we have rich people drinking the adrenochrome of infants to obtain immortality, so we haven’t changed much lol
(50/50 chance this post is satire)
However, the morals of the Guild are more in tune with North American natives, which in turn was based on to modern hunting regulations and the like, specifically the "one with nature" feeling the game gives, but also a lot of back end lore rules, such has strict hunting regulations, preventing poaching, etc.
Another thing thats interesting is most cities we've seen in MH are heavily Western inspired. Kokoto was essentially a European town, Pokke was a more Norse/Germanic inspired town, Minegarde was very Pueblo inspired, Schrade and Dundorma are massive, Western castles, Val Habar was essentially an old cowboy caravan town that traveled around, and now with Astera, a ship-town, similar to what the British and Spanish did with their ships upon ariving in the Americas early on. However, towns like, Yukumo, Jumbo, the Portable towns, are all heavily Japanese.
Armor, however, is inspired from basically everywhere in history, from Japan to Europe, to China, to the Native peoples of the Americas, to Africa, Pacific Islands, like, everywhere.
