Best way to upgrade safi weapons ?

Do I need to upgrade step by step like atk 2 > atk 3 atk 4 > atk 5 or store potential and just pray to rng god to get atk 5 ?

From my experience upgrade my first weapon. I got atk 5 at potential 20 and atk 6 replace atk 5 at potential 25 and then another atk 5 on potential 30. so I thought i just store potential and then get atk 5 but at potential 99 still no atk 5. so the rest I upgrade step by step to get the rest of slots atk 5.

So best way is store to get lv 6 and 5 for first 2 slots and then step by step for the rest ? don't want to use mat more than necessary. so tired, 8 hours for 1 max weapon. I use 5 weapons. well , 4 left. I'm glad I don't use element weapons.

It'd say get the lower ones first. Getting an upgrade is far more likely than getting a good one.

I personally did that and maxed my first weapon in 4 Safi kills.

I am pretty certain the most effective way is going for upgrades.
I wasted a lot of material trying to get a high atk in the beginning.

I think you do need to upgrade step by step, not 100% sure I never really took much notice. I was tryin to upgrade from 2 straight to 5 but it wouldn't appear. You can add any level of skill though, even level 5.

Store potential or fight Safi many times to increase potential and upgrade it

So step by step is better way. I should have know when store potential reach 99 but still no atk 5. I'd get max 3 or 4 weapons already If I did it the right ways. well, lesson learned.
