how does one even solo behemoth with greatsword.

Are u sheathing and running to the edges?
(Btw, behemoth is a little tricky to solo as he is multiplayer scaled)
Suggestions would be:
1) flashpods
2) enmity (emnity?) (Via attacking head/dragonpods)

Rocksteady mantle and hope for flinches on arm shots, I'd guess. iirc enmity is number of hits based rather than damage dealt, so GS have a bad time.

You can’t let behe cast wind in solo. You need to do some damage calculation. For every 2250 damage on one front claw, behe will flinch. If you trigger the flinch when it’s casting the wind, you can stop it. Also the wind is not casted randomly. IIRC in the second phase they are 20 seconds apart and this time will reduce a bit in the last phase. All you need to do is to count 20 seconds and flinch behe.

clutch claw face and a few hit more and you got it.

collect the dragon pods to get emnity easily.
5 hits with the slinger and you have it

great sword is really good at handling behemoth actually you just need clutch claw on his head to get instant enmity if you hate clutch claw then don't behemoth solo. also it required fortitude abuse and good skill to finish it.
