IG stygian oblivia any good?

Hi IG users,

Any comment about this stygian oblivia vs other dragon element IG?

Actually, it's become the new go-to general use IG (other than against dragon-immune monsters and such) given it's impressive stats. It's basically a better Ruiner Nergi IG.

For general use, Stygian oblivia isn't the best IG around.

I have been testing Stygian oblivia, Ruinous Catastrophe and Nexus Gae Bolg for dragon element IG

Edit: I never use Ruinous Catastrophe. I refer Nexus Gae Bolg over Ruinous.

It's pretty good. It's really easy to build for even without any high tier decorations and looks cool, so why not? It even gets the spirit and strength bonus.

Try to make build for it, seem like it was ok for ruiner nergigante and safi jiva.

Not much for other monsters.

unless you run ruinous with best in slot pieces (so no masters touch) the stygian oblivia comes out ahead of it - the nat purple is enough to compensate the 20 raw it is missing and it has more element (and a better multiplier for it); the only real advantage the ruinous has are the 110 hits of white compared to the 60 purple of the stygian. Neither require handicraft aswell as give you enough room for whatever skills. Forgoing masters touch leaves you with an additional 2 slots i think but it's not gonna matter much. Additionally stygian has spirit + strenght boost, which means less downtime for buffs, more dust clouds and 2x kinsect stamina (with easy refill). if you for whatever reason wanna use an elemental IG ur best bet is propably custom upgradable rare 11 glaive

So overall it propably is the best glaive atm since it doesn't require handicraft - but hardly matters cause safi will dump all the current good ones anyway

Masters touch only available from Teostra armor set and charm? Too expensive
I did not use masters touch

I don't like Ruinous Catastrophe, never use it. I prefer Nexus Gae Bolg over Ruinous for dragon element

Probably Safi have some good IG but haven't gotten to try. From the website, they seem so so only.

You have to go level 7 in the Guiding Lands to get the fight with the version that will drop the mats for this... but that's on the TO DO list anyways.

I'm putting effort into getting this weapon ahead of storyline bits... very early "end game", and I'm planning to just run this the majority of the time. We'll see though. Loving the discussion

I never used Sytgian nor Ruiner IG, so I can´t compare them.

My path was: Infinite Wisdom (Dragon 390 - Shara Isvalda), Lightbreak Press (Blast 180 - R. Brachy) and now True Fatalis (Dragon 120 - Fatalis).

Alatreon Embrace, with 540 Dragon, looks also good, but I stick to my Fata OP build :-D
