Forgot to talk to Elder Melder advice please

Okay I did a dumb, I forgot to talk to the Elder Melder before she moved the Astera, now i am prepping for Nergles (currently getting tossed about by azure Raathalos) and do not have access to the smithy making charms (like the defense charm) the character I messed up on is HR 13?

All you need to do is talk to her in astera, if shes not in astera talk to her in the research base.

Edit: Or if she is in astera and wont say anything about it see if she spawns in the research base. Thats what my friend did

I literally just talked to her in ASTERA nothing, went to the research base got a drink quest for the canteen, came back talked to her again. Nothing. Talked to the Smithy, Nothing. I didn't have this problem on my HR 149 character, so I know it is something ridiculously small that is being overlooked. I have been melding items and Jewels for a week now. But there is no charm option at the Smithy.

You have to talk to her in the research base i think. The only requirement to charm crafting is seeing a coral highland cutscene

That is the problem, she gave me her "experimental" charm and I went on my merry way, and didn't talk to her again until after she had moved. Done deal. The Smithy is the one who makes the Charms you wear in the extra equipment slot. She is not in two places I checked. So how do you prompt her (game ai) to recognize that, is there an optional quest that will retrigger the dialog?
Did the loop again went to Research base she still isn't there, went into the high rank coral highlands, back to research base. Than back to Astera and talked to the melder no new dialog just asking what she can meld for me. Then talked to Smithy. nothing. I am confuzzled and a bit frustrated, sorry.

I have found only one other post about someone talking about their charm crafting going missing. To which he solved or fixed by just talking to the lady or smith in astera (or possibly both). Did you do the tickled pink quest?

Yep all 6 star quests both assigned and optional are complete except the canteen drink one I just got and 3 special arena quests. I am going to complete the option capture tobi to see if that will trigger anything.

Then all you can do is maybe restart your game, hope she still spawns somewhere in the research base (search the place high and low) or talk to her in astera, then talk to the smith. There is nothing you can do to restart the dialog as far i know.

Btw if your using mods maybe delete them for the time being and see if that does anything. The only mod i could see maybe messing it up is the one that moves everyone to the hub but idk.

no mods, but i'll keep that in mind. I am currently catching up on all the liquor quests. Maybe she needs a good snifter of something or other to jog her memory.

Yes and no I am trying to pinpoint what triggers the smithy offering the option to craft Charms not decos. And the only thing anyone mentions is the melder (granny). I have the Defense Charm she made way back when i first unlocked the coral highlands, I need to upgrade it and make new ones.

Bruh, I got a Pierce Jewel and a Crit Boost Jewel in one ritual. A few rituals later, I got a Release (Free Elem) Jewel, too. Seems pretty good to me. XD

She scammed 200k Research Points off me and didn't give me my Capacity Boost Jewel.
