That said, I had all the elder crowns jsut from grinding before I started hunting the T1 and T2 crowns. You planning to stop playing once you get the crowns?
It's really just a lot of luck getting them legit.
I probably got my last crown at HR 250 legit. It's not far fetched as long as it's a game you're going to be playing a lot anyway.
There are also some gimmie quests like the three jagras, the MegaMan collaboration (odogaron), and the kuluyaku.
Anyway, lecture over, I have been hunting the achievements too. I have most of the crowns but am still missing a few, including Kirin. But I have the large crowns for all the other elders.
There seems to be a greater chance of a crown in higher rank quests, but there is a chance in ANY quest. There also seems to be a slightly higher chance of smaller crowns in quests with more than one monster. I say "seems" though because I am not sure it really makes any difference. The real key is quantity. You just need to do lots and lots of quests. If you just forget about the crowns then they happen pretty quickly if you concentrate on a particular monster.
it's not really cheating, you still have to hunt and defeat the monster to get the crown.
That being said, it's still RNG, some people have TERRIBLE luck with it. I got SUPER lucky and got mine much easier than I thought I would. Most people won't have that luck. I've seen people who have over 1000 hours in this game and they barely have half their crowns.
And doing the same thing over and over gets super, super, SUPER boring (ala farming tempered elders for an attack jewel)
Either way, I personally don't care how someone accomplishes it. If they want to get it done and do so, good for them.
After I passed HR 50, I downloaded a mod that puts literally everything of the game in the shop. Since then I don’t need to farm materials and jewels anymore, and I also got access to the AT tickets that aren’t released yet which means I can craft every piece of armor in the game.
Later on I discover a exploit that there are ??? Materials (name for Xeno’jiva materials during the final story mission) in the modded shop with a price of 500 zennies for a ??? gem. AND I CAN SELL THEM FOR 50,000 ZENNIES. Well, you know the rest, I have literally infinite zennies.
As for now, I’m just trying to craft unique sets with all the armors, jewels, and streamstones like: Michael Bay DB, Ultra Vitality LS, Immortal Lance, Mushroom Addict SnS and so on...
