AT Lunastra tips for inexperience players
Get :

(Armor)

1)Fully augment armor (if possible) with end game gear (don't even think about damage gear)
2) positive fire res armor pieces (for the most part with good decoration slots)

(Decorations)

1) Earplugs lvl 5 (prioritize this over wind resistance if you can't have both)
2) Fire resistance lvl 3
3) Health lvl 3
4) Wind resistance if possible with build through kushala set or HH
5) Rest of decoration up2u

(Items/inventory)

1) both all healing item (both potions max potion, ancient potion, and life powder)
2) cool drinks
3) astery jerky
4) charms (buy from shop guy and upgrade it for talon and buy it again since they stack)
you should have two attack charms and two defense charm in inventory
5) bombs
6) Farcaster (just in case)

Tips:

1) Lunastra roars three times before she uses nova (hence prioritizing earplugs over wind res)

- The first one engulfs in her flame aura
- The second one is nothing
- The third is the nova

* Keep count of the roars based on the situation of her having flame aura or not.

* If she is already engulfs in flame assume one roar until since if you lost count if not the
next one is definitely the nova(about 30 to 60 secs before she roars on the last roar).

- Just play with caution at this point and keep a distance after attacking for a few times
regardless if playing range or melee (but ranged have more leeway > go back farther
and attack).

2) if she already novas and you're in range, then sprint run and evade to superman dive when she's close to hitting the ground because its about like 4-5 sec for nova to be initiated from
roar to the nova wave.

3) USE farcaster if you can't avoid dying altogether (especially from her nova)

4) ALWAYS KEEP HEALTH full regardless what state she is in

5) Pay attention to cool drink buff because this can make or break you during the nova wave
when you're caught in it

This is just a basic guide

I think what works for the husband works for the wife too.

I finally found the time to fight her today and I tested out the same set I used for AT Teostra and it worked pretty well on my very first run with her.

i think im prioritizing wind res since when she throw supernova the wind will shook your hunter meaning no move in the middle of supernova happening since by the time she done the final roar before supernova happened your hunter will get up so i think earplugs good for type people who does support ?

1. fire resis 20 plus food buff element L
2. vitality 3

Do it solo goes fast way less health less fire spread around the area.

kite luna far from the fires and when u see alot on the ground flash and run away she will nova and all reset easy.

When At teo comes luna will be angry( you will see red mark on luna in the map) so u can kite her to 2nd area where boulders is and use them if shes not angry just go in flash run let her nova with teo by that time he will go away.

Took me 16 min with hunting horn first 2 runs till i figured out all the moves as AT and how to avoid AT teo after that 8 min each run easy.

Mantles i use evade and fire proof but u can use temporal depends on your play style.
arent you too slow when teo has a change to join the battle?

you can lure luna instantly into the rocktrap area through using sonic bombs or flashbangs

imo, its much easier to dodge her wind than it is to dodge roars. this is based on me seeing people play against her. they get tripped up by roar and get dealt more dmg because they're closer due to recklessness of not knowing when to back off during the third roar.

Her wind during her supernova is easy to dodge. the time frame is forgiving enough for you to dodge it. in some case especially when you're by the flame when this happens, wind res will not block the fire damaging and knocking you back (the big fire patches on ground during her nova or throws wind at them.)

though play whatever works for you because if it works i wouldn't change it

When you are in the Temporal Mantle dodge animation you are completely immune to all damage, including DoTs.

If you have the Temporal Mantle on when Luna does her Supernova, you can run into a blue flame patch to constantly proc the Temporal Mantle to avoid the DoT damage from the Supernova.

Also, in the worst case scenario where you know you're going to face tank Lunastra's Supernova and you can't get away in time, you can run into a Blue Flame patch to intentionally knock yourself down. The damage you take from that one hit will be nothing compared to the damage of Lunastra's full duration Supernova.

I use Jandabears first ice LBG build, makes the missions pretty smooth assuming my party is competent.

Two points in Wide Range + Two gobbler jewels and Astera Jerky can prevent triple carts during her supernova if your teammates get caught in it. Just keep chowing down on them whenever their health gets low and restock if you get under 3.

This just two sample build where u don't give up crit or sharpness most of the time when attacking for hammers while retaining fire res 3, vit 3 and earplugs 5. you can use the regular one if you don't got Kulve Taroth version.
