I've had this discussion with Capcom support, your only option is to replace it.

There is a way to delete by buying a trash piece of armor or weapon from the npc at the workshop, writing that armor or weapon to all loadouts you wish to delete and then zelling that that armor or weapon to thd npc. Try to uss the loadouts with the missing armor/weapon and it will prompt you to delete.

Well, other people have shown that it's possible to delete loadouts, just not directly. That's why he said git gud :p

there's nothing to be good at. It's just a work around to delete stuff from inventory, No skill required.

You can delete an armor loadout by just selling or downgrading the weapon that's in it.
I know you can do something similar with item loadouts but I never tried and can't find the tutorial anymore.

This is the first I'd have heard of it being possible with item loadouts, unfortunately. There's no known way for those, just for equipment.
