Which GS should I pick?
I recently started playing MHW. I recently killed a pukei-pukei and barroth and got materials to begin their trees.

Blooming blade:528 DMG+240 poison

Carpace Buster:624 DMG+10 Defense -20% affinity


I do have mats for both but it seems wasteful to spend on both so early on since I'll swap it in the near future. From what I seen elemental doesn't matter much to slow weapons. Also I played the previous games before but I kinda forgot but does elemental damage stack? or does it count for a %?

one thing with great sword is dont go for GS with elements its really ♥♥♥♥♥♥

so go for the barroth GS


and if you can craft a GS called Wyverne ignition impact (an event reward GS ) its the best one

For LR, Jagras Hacker is just fine. HR, like Koostec said, Wyvern Ignition is what you want to go for.

Deviljho great sword is also a good option that hasn't been mentioned yet.

If you can get your hand on Wyvern ignition GS then it's the best one you can find

Jho is the best as it's the strongest one you get the soonest in HR until you get augments and decent deco's. Definitely get Jho's sword when you can.
