What happens with the events now?
This is my first "event cycle", so I'm not sure what to expect. When looking at the MHW event page, it shows like 90% of the quests are ending later today.

Are these quests replaced with new, special quests?

What are we exactly losing at this point? The Gala suit armors? What about "Code Red", and Behemoth, and Kulve Taroth?

If there is new awesome stuff coming, will it be replaced immediately? Do we know anything about the new stuff yet, or is it a surprise?

When we aren’t on a festival we get a handful of event quests that rotate weekly/bi-weekly depending on the quest. Stuff like KT come in for a couple weeks, stuff like Chew The Fat (2* event quest, one of the earliest you can do) rotate in and out weekly. A festival has every possible event quest to do at once, between them we get a dozen or so a week on whatever rotation Capcom wants to give us.

AT Kushala drops today, AT Lunastra in two weeks. Beyond that we don’t know when we get new content.

Check the Event Schedule to be up to date with current and upcoming events.

Festival. That's the name I was looking for. :) Like a holiday thing in WoW I suppose.

So it looks like I started playing mid-festival, and had all of this awesome stuff to do and look forward to. It sucks that most of it is going away, apparently.

I'd be fine if they replaced it with a new festival or something, with tons of new stuff to do. But one quest every couple of weeks (AT Kushala?) just seems.....dull?

In the past, do they introduce new "festivals" one after another? Or will we be going back to a normal Gathering Hub, and have to wait until another "holiday"?

Thanks, yeah I did that. That's what prompted me to make this post. As 90% of the quests end on 2-21. So I was wondering if we'd be getting like a whole new list of quests to replace them or not.

The gathering hub will revert back to normal until the next event, which I’m guessing is the spring festival in a couple months here. When that hits we’ll have every event quest available again for that duration.

In the meantime we’ll likely have one AT monster available at a time, KT once a month, and then a few random other quests available as well. Much less to do, and makes investigations the best grinding of any material again.

Now tha the Appreciation Fest is over we'll have the regular Hub for a while.

I think the next festival will be the Spring Blossom Fest wich consoles already had.

Thanks guys. That's the answers I was looking for. It's a bit depressing, but oh well. Like you said, it will make investigations very important.
