It is a rather good way to get affinity since it does appear in some armor pieces and at most cost 3 lvl 2 slots.
Level 3 gets you 50 affinity on weakspot which you will naturally be going for anywau since non-weakspots give low damage in any case.
But why limit yourself and handicap yourself at the same time?
Since you can save loadouts with 2 button presses and rearm them with 2 from inside the tent or your box.
You're also lacking all the basic CB skills (Artillery, Focus, Capacity Boost, Guard), which means you aren't making any good use of the phials at all. So the set ends up having both poor attack damage and poor phials damage. You're better off playing another CB or an entirely different weapon at this point.
P.S. I recommend to use this site next time, it's much easier to read and you can immediately tell the average damage output of your set:

@MoonMadness, thanks for the tip regarding Weakness Exploit, and the other "Create a build" site. I'll see if I can forgo Peak Perfromance and go Weakness Exploit. Only reason I like Raw damage is because I can ignore a monster's resistances no matter what I'm fighting. From the math I read having Diablos weapons with Non-Element Boost does have higher attack then Deviljho weapons. Granted, if Dragon Attack skills are included it get's beaten out.
This whole discussion doesn't matter for CB however, since no impact CB can beat the Blos one.
"looks at 19 pages worth of armor, and weaponry" ...size matters.
Jokes aside - the best sets are always mixed (sadly). "I want the best" this is what you should shoot for.." But i want the best from this one chest..this one helm..this one..." o.0 For a dwarf, you don't seem too proud of your armor.
The only real way to achieve it easily is to
1. Not use a CB. Its a weapon that requires skills that other weapons have no use for.
2. Metahemoth.
Using the Metahomth setup you can easily switch between SA, LS, raw SnS, IG and hammer. You could even get away with GS and evade lancing.
The big majority of the CB damage does come its phials. And its those skills people are saying you are missing.
Now if you arent driving for optimal times and are like me and just enjoy the hunts its not too much of a deal breaker. But with the CB its a noteable improvment in damage and hunt time.
-------
For me part of the fun is making the sets and gathtering the materials. I currently like the metahemoth and beetle helm look. But previously i didnt and as such build sets for each weapon.
Material farming isnt really a problem at all. You do it naturally by just playing the game.
------
Just a word on the decos. You are going to be farming them anyways. Its most of what the end game gathering is about.
But you only do it ones. Its not like each set needs its own set. They can be resrranged at will.
And if you save the loadouts when you change gear in the tent in a hunt the deco change for you as well.
