Thinking about solo-ing behemoth.
I like a challenge, I really do.
So I've been getting really bored with this game lately (only thing left to do is getting all required jewels for my CB set, and getting the golden diablos CB from Kulve), and I've been thinking about trying to solo Behemoth.

Any tips I should know?
What are the best weapons against him?
Or should I just go full noob mode with cluster spam?

Defense is kinda worrying, about 400-ish, can't be arsed to farm for the armor stones or whatever they're called.

if you use bow at least health boost 2 and evade extender 2 is very helpful, longsword is really good too since you can foresight slash everything

You know, I actually have no idea how to do the foresight slash.
I've only used the ls once in world... against a low rank juryatodus.

A lot of Behemoth solo builds involve using Fortify and intentionally carting twice in order to get the massive buff.

Edit: Oh, and Mind's Eye is almost a necessity on melee builds.

This guy solo'd Extreme Behemoth with an Insect Glaive. Even if you're just going for normal Behemoth you could probably apply some of the techniques he used for your attempt.

Behemoth doesn't have bouncy parts... except for his horns.

His chest, actually. But minds eye is only useful if you cant hit his legs sooooooo..... its not super useful, I think.

His entire chest, belly, and back are also bouncy. Depending on the weapon you're using, you could be at risk of hitting his torso and bouncing.

Good to know.

I've been trying to solo Behemoth for a while on the Longsword.
I'm not quite there yet, allthough we did Duo him (2 longsswords) quite safely.

Minds eye is very true.
Yes, you can foresight slash everything he throws at you, but every now and then he'll move, you'll hit his chest and bounce - and eat that meteor because you can't foresight slash in time.

Good positioning helps of course, I don't think the top speedrunners use it?! But Sub 35 minutes is more than fine for me :-)

Non TA it goes like this:
1.Clusters
2.Water Bow (highly skill dependent)
3.LS (no skill required, just unga bunga helmsplitter arms when he's casting anything)
4.Glaive

Everything below i don't know that well, but GS, SA and Lance suffer from him moving his weakspots way too much to reliably get combos in. HH is least damage ofc but not undoable.
At 400ish defense with 150 HP he can oneshot i believe, invest at least in some defensive skills, there's plenty of time.

For GL and CB use a voucher and eat for Feylne Bombardier, that's 10% more phial/shell damage.

There is a thread about 2-3weeks ago where we typed it all out. Someone linked a good text guide and videos of speed runs.

Cluster spam is king as always but can be tricky.

Glutton spread is the easiest and best.

GL is anothet solid choice. Especially if you just shot shot quick reload.

----

The most important thing i can say is. Sleep Behemoth under rocks. They do incredible amounts of damage on waking.

I basically always start with Zorah HBG.

Sleep under the rock. Plant bombs, drop rock to wake and trigger bombs with a cluster.

Then sleep again under the second. And repeat.

The first combo can actually push Behemoth straight into the area 2 transition if you use too many clusters.

You want the second since it shortens the second phase a bunch as well.

------

Behemoth solo isnt actually that hard. Its the timer thats tight.
I used water bow to solo the normal and extreme behemoth.Area 1 and 2 is really to get pass. You can drop the crystal rock in area 1 right before he leave to area 2 to reduce the time spend in area 2. In area 3 and 4 you have to learn to dodge his ground slam to avoid the explosion damage. In area 4 you have to get his enmity asap to avoid him spawning any tornado.

Also he will be using his fist slap alot when you stand in front of him, so you have to side step alot to avoid the chip damage.

Oh I forgot, Dragon Pods. Hitting Behemoth anywhere with 5 Dragon Pods will immediately get you Enmity.

Try to keep an eye out for any Dragon Pod he drops and keep them handy. They're a good way to quickly gain Enmity during important Phases.

He drop a set of 7 in area 1, so use this in area 2, he also drop a set in area 3, so use this set in area 4.
