Katie is a chore now
So i have about 260 weapons from her already -- yes i keep the trash. I'm a collector.

Anyways, I just can't get Blitz Pierce and Assault Horn from her. So i keep grinding, over and over, and it's not fun anymore.

Anyone also feeling the same?

I have like 4 Blitz Pierce, 3 Blitz Spread, 2 Blitz Shot or maybe 3 and NO Assault "Glutton" go figure. I'm not gonna put my feelings on KT to words cause it would not be constructive.

I make sure I only grind Kulve about 3-6 times a day anymore. I am lucky because I got what I want with my CB main build. But I do want to get that glutton HBG everyone is ranting and raving about lol. Would love to get into range as a counterpoint to my CB.

Honestly for me it's self control.

I used to play WoW for 6 years. I was on from sun up till sun down. I got soooo burned out on it. I've come a long way as a game player. I understand what will burn me out and take the fun out of everything before it happens.

I mean unless you have really terrible luck, you should get everything you need from a few Kulve runs a day. Especially since they extended the siege until the 22nd?
I have seen maybe two or three R8 in the past 30 runs. Considering the only R8 I want now is Taroth Arrow Water... I can't say I'm not getting a little tired of it.
I wish at least I could try out different weapons, but I know very well for having tried several times that if I don't run my support cuck sets with max Bombardier the hunts will last forever.
It doesn't help that people still have no idea how the siege works and keep just hitting her head past the gold plating break in P1 or try to go for P1 horn breaks even when they're clearly not geared up for that.

Am I the only one that enjoys people F***ing up? I think it's hilarious. I can understand how frustrating it can be to be really wanting a particular weapon and running Kulve over and over and not getting it.

But I have yet to team with a totally incompetent group. But it's funny to see people get shredded by a roll. Or on a Kulve breath and you see immediately the message someone fainted. And of course I F up too. It's hard for me to die from Kulve, I won't lie. But there are some nice hot spots I get into that make me nervous and laugh.

You know, someone commented that they think MHW is too serious compared to the older ones. My complaint is the people on these forums are too stiff and serious. Why can't we joke and have fun and laugh? Heaven forbid not in this age right?

It's a F***king game about killing fantasy monsters lol.

Several of my friends felt the same way, there's a mod out there that eventually let's you craft the R8 weapons you need after fighting her enough times for the materials, changed the raid from a tedious chore to a fun grind again for them, do with that what you will, I'd say it's a valid option since the way weapons are randomly given out is abosutely abysmal.
Kt burned me out of the game, some rng is ok but rng on top of rng is too much. Never got the sleep lance that I actually wanted and gave up, barely playing the game anymore all due to kt.

Devs can ruin games when they abuse rng and kt is the perfect example.

I feel like the siege being limited time is the worst part; If you don't get what you want you'll have to suffer another month or so until you even get a chance to get them.

I feel like this hits the crux of the issue with KT. In the general MHW you are encouraged to go out and seek those hilarious or awsome moments where someone jumps off the top of the coral highlands and lands on a Shamos or something Or Bazel comes out of left field and carts the whole team.

With KT the fight is rote. The divided phases and areas are always going to be the same and there will never be any surprises past the first few attempts. So it becomes this predictable dreary slog.

But we as gamers aren't held responsible at all? You are the one that puts the hours in. You are the one that can cut yourself off if you're getting burned out. The devs just release the content. It's up to us in how we handle it.

And RNG has always been in these types of games. I would consider maybe devs abusing it if Kulve dropped like 1 weapon. But man, it's up to you as a game player to control that behavior.

I am at the stage that all I have to hunt are tempered elders. I don't want to burn myself out on this game because I right now enjoy it so much. So I know my limits. I don't stay on all day like some MMO.

I do get your point in how KT has her own area and that area does get repetitious. But in the first area I still have fun doing different things. Sometimes I pop a cannon. Sometimes sling a rock archway. Sometimes I fight on the ground.

I love the lava section too. So KT seems to be a condensed mixture of world and monster. But I do think the devs do try to keep it interesting by giving a lot of environmental interactions.

I kind of have an opposite effect going on. KT was so interesting and such a breath of fresh air from hunting tempered elders over and over, I don't want to go back to them lol. Plus, I have a blast teaming up with players.

Feels lonely to hunt and elder now haha.

Someone data mined the kt drops, they are beyond awful.
A gold box has about a 3% of dropping a rarity 8 wep and then there's more rng as you have no control over what kind of wep you'll get, this is bad design, period.

On top of that, they blocked the extra 14 weps that consoles have (the weps are already in game btw). Why would they do that? To force players to grind again, yes, you could limit your playtime to avoid getting burned out but guess what, kt is a limited event.

The game is great, the rng can be a pain but manageable, KT rng on the other hand is not.
My last run had nothing but dupes, at least with decos you get another chance with the melder, there's nothing you can do with duped weps.

First: Her name is Kulve Taroth, stop calling her these stupid weeb names.
Second: Stop playing the game then, what is your problem?

Get the Hex's KT Adjustment mod from nexus, the droprate is better still no glutton HBG...
but you can craft R8 weapons but you need a gem for that. Feels so much better after all this grinding with bad drops..

i mean you could take a break, there are 14 weapons not released yet so it'll increase the pool of what your missing giving you more odds to get something new.

and i advise NOT keeping rare 6 weapons. there are a few that are special, i forget which ones, that are worth keeping from a collectors point of view, but the rare 7s are all upgraded versions of the Rare 6 weapons. you WILL eventually run out of equipment space.

and if you say but mods so help me..... i can assure you modded storage capacity is gonna blow up in your face one day when they decide to not support mods that modify game values and throw down online bans for it.

Who keeps trash weeps when they add nothing to your builds? Katie is a shore for you in your opinion, but for some hunter its fun. Maybe find new ways to destroy her? Speed runs with teammates? Obliteration builds?
