How the ♥♥♥♥ do I kill a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Kirin

The thing is literally impossible to kill. I'm using a switch axe, and I have tried over 10 times and lost every single time. It just keeps ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ oneshotting me, and when its enraged, there's literally ♥♥♥♥ all I can do. Can some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HR3000s add me and save me from this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ quest please

I'm not sure. It's the first one I've seen and the quest is called "Gone In A Flash" or something. I just don't understand. I know that I need to do some damage and then get out, but then eventually it'll stun me for like a minute and beat my ass whilst I lie on the floor.

Breaking news, not even God himself can reliably defeat a Kirin.

Hit and Run static is a must with Kirin if you are a melee hunter, stack thunder resist and abuse thunder mantle you got from low rank Kirin, lastly learn it attack moves set. They all easy to avoid and don't be greedy with your attacks, you got 50 minutes to beat it not 5 minutes hehehe. When it's enraged don't bother to attack it but focus not getting hit in that phase.

I can't use a thunder mantle because I need to kill a Kirin to make it.. His attacks are not easy to avoid by any means. Some of em are literally instant, and it doesn't help that he either stuns me for an hour or takes my health down to half by one normal shot..

it's low rank Kirin, if you can't survive then upgrade your armor and stack thunder resist.

If you want to do it solo you need to:
- Upgrade your armor
- Eat in the canteen for daily buff and bonuses
- use items that will provide you with buffs
- if you are going to stick with the switch axe dont do full combos and time your attacks
- properly time your evasions
- you can also join someone else who is doing the same quest and work together with that person it will give you the quest completion as well
- dont be too aggro on it
- bring some friends

just beat normal kirin then its not that hard if you already reach HR

I know not to do full combos. The only attack I can reliably land before having to roll away is the uppercut swing with the axe. Even if I eat from the canteen the Kirin still 2 shots me. Any time I bring friends along or fire an SOS flare they always just end up dying more then I do and we all fail the quest.

Then it would be best to stack thunder resistance and use vitality mantle let me look up a build for ye

Do not use SoS for Kirin, you change of failing the quest even higher and the beast is scaling up much higher = more dangerous.
Unless you got lucky that some HR join your quest and carrying you over it but Its a bad idea if you got carry by someone else. You gonna cry or even rage quit when you face it second time later on and this fight is none avoidable, if you want to do endgame stuff you must beat it.

I wore the high rank kadachi armor for thunder resist. Having like 12+ lightning resist was good enough for me.

To be fair, switch axe is a real pain against kirin. Like CB. You'd be having an easier time with any other weapon you can handle properly :p

try using lvl 3 health boost( You get 200hp combined with canteen hp buff or max potion) and lvl 3 speed eatting if you are getting one hit KO
