Where I can farm Guard up deco?

most of the older decos are super ez to get when festivals are around. You can get special tickets from the iceborne minigame, the steamworks, and exchange the lower two tiers of tickets for them. Guard up is relatively common, so I'm sure you'll find it fast

or you can go back and do greatest jagras event in high rank when it comes around.

Also i dumped in almsot 200k fuel. After thousands of tickets i didn't get a single guard up. So it's not that common or i'm mega unlucky, #DesireSensor

the bronze silver gold melding tickets you can get from steamworks during festivals. At least that's how it's been so far. Not sure how it is atm but last time I was on MHW (last sunday), event was still going on and I farmed a ton of melding tickets. The bronze and silver ones you can meld for basically all the non tier 4 decos. Just another lottery.

probably that dastardly desire sensor. Gotta hypnotize yourself into believing you don't want guard up. Then you'll get like 5 in a row.

I have bad news. It may literally be the rarest base game deco judging by most data farming numbers. There's a semi-official chart that lists its best drop chance at 0.10 but even that seems wildly high.

Don't give up though, it only took me 8 months to get it.

b4 iceborne launched, I had like 7 guard up decos and 1 guard deco. ATM I forget how many guard up decos I have but I have 5 guard decos. Maybe the % chance were nudged a bit.

Guild alchemy (steel/silver/gold melding tickets) pulls from the same table as Ancient and Carved feystones. Shield deco is not a possible drop from either of those feystones, so you cannot get it from Steamworks.

now here's the real answer. Thanks for telling us. Now I know why I have so many guard up decos... did a lot of tier 2-3 tempered in the base game.

I'm fairly active in the data farming community and having 7 shield up decos would be uncommon even for hr 999's, excluding cheats.

I'm not saying your anecdotal evidence is wrong but calling your results abnormal would be an understatement.
