Just started...which event quests are worth doing?

I got the game a few weeks ago and am HR13, can do 7* quests. Are any of the Low/High Rank event quests worth completing before winter fest ends, or should I just focus on finishing the story and getting to Iceborn?

Not really, because all the event quest will come back in the next event.

The only thing that MIGHT NOT come back is the current event's Oolong armour:

Which REQUIRED you to be IN ICEBORNE (HR16), gather tickets to unlock it. (You have 3 days left). There ARE WAYS to obtains this armour outside the event but it involves cheating...

better finish your main storyline first, event quest not that worth and for iceborne if you have money get it because the real challenge in base game from event quest is Arch tempered monster. with MR gear you can survive some hits.

HR gear vs Arch tempered monster is just simply 1 shot wonder Party

there are two that i remember:
1- USJ event quest which allows you to craft a cool usj armor and LS
2- the event that givers you the wyvern ignition impact GS which the best GS in the base game

A Hunters Dream is the Wyverns Ignition GS. Should still be active and iirc its the best GS for the base game but the Frozen Tuna in Iceborne puts it out if im remembering the stats right

A Hunters Dream is the Wyverns Ignition GS. Should still be active and iirc its the best GS for the base game but the Frozen Tuna in Iceborne puts it out if im remembering the stats right

yep but OP just started the base game so im not giving him tips for iceborne just the base game

Fair enough there. Only issue with Ignition is its -15% affinity but thats really easy to fix

Before Iceborne, Wyverns Ignition was the best GreatSword.

But with Iceborne, there is no need for it. You are much better to get the Royal Venus Blade (RVB) that has the same attack (1296), better Affinity (-15 vs +15). Wyvern Impact do have better sharpness but it can all be corrected by just having one point of Handicraft on RVB.

(The negative Affinity on Wyvern Impact is a hot mess that requires a lot more skill to boost your attack to a constant 100% Affinity)

Hes not to bad really. Main thing is always avoid his divebomb attack. Most of the other attacks dont hurt that bad but the divebomb is usually insta-death unless youre using some really tanky armor and at full hp

Code Red gives a decent CB that can be upgraded in MR to also be a decent CB.
