Xeno was just a baby in a cocoon yet he was the reason behind the Elder Crossing.
Imagine how powerful Safi'Jiiva would have been if he absorbed Zorah Magdaros' energy when it was a baby.
Its mere existence can shape worlds like the Guiding Lands.
Perhaps it even created the New World.
No it's not nostalgia, there is legitimate lore behind Fatalis and how he can basically level an entire country by himself and how nobody could stop him (and he literally melts hunters onto his body to use as armor) and that was just the regular (black) Fatalis. White Fatalis is way stronger.
I've noticed a trend of hating on Fatalis on these forums, whether it's in game mechanics or the design or the lore, people just want to dump on him for the sake of dumping on him. Waving their hands in dismissal of anything positive and chalking it up to "nostalgia", I can assure you this is not that. On top of this if you read the comments there are multiple people showing proof, either through descriptions of armor, links, and so on. No one's talking purely from emotion.
Edit: I will say though, since Capcom retconned Fatalis lore, who knows anymore. He was built up to be this unstoppable, harbinger of Armageddon type of creature but he isn't canonically seen until Iceborne. Though they kept his story about destroying an entire kingdom by himself so I guess it's more or less the same?
