Strongest monster lore wise.
What is the strongest monster lore wise? My bet is on Savage Deviljho or Ruiner Nergigante. Savage Devil is just savage for sure. Even destroying some Elder Dragons in 1v1 combat :0

I really love Safi'Jiiva, and in my opinion it is the strongest elder dragon that ever existed in terms of potential. We only saw a little bit of its true power because it had to be taken down before it could potentially destroy the entire world.

Xeno was just a baby in a cocoon yet he was the reason behind the Elder Crossing.
Imagine how powerful Safi'Jiiva would have been if he absorbed Zorah Magdaros' energy when it was a baby.

Its mere existence can shape worlds like the Guiding Lands.
Perhaps it even created the New World.

Most people say the Fatalis are stronger but it's just pure nostalgia based on nothing but their emotions. In MHW we actually see Safi'Jiiva's potential, it is limitless.
People say Fatalis is stronger not because of "nostalgia" but because of the lores behind him: one of the species that destroyed a legendary advanced kingdom in 3 days, able to come back consuming the user of its body parts, and intelligence that is on par/superior to a human.

No it's not nostalgia, there is legitimate lore behind Fatalis and how he can basically level an entire country by himself and how nobody could stop him (and he literally melts hunters onto his body to use as armor) and that was just the regular (black) Fatalis. White Fatalis is way stronger.

I've noticed a trend of hating on Fatalis on these forums, whether it's in game mechanics or the design or the lore, people just want to dump on him for the sake of dumping on him. Waving their hands in dismissal of anything positive and chalking it up to "nostalgia", I can assure you this is not that. On top of this if you read the comments there are multiple people showing proof, either through descriptions of armor, links, and so on. No one's talking purely from emotion.

Edit: I will say though, since Capcom retconned Fatalis lore, who knows anymore. He was built up to be this unstoppable, harbinger of Armageddon type of creature but he isn't canonically seen until Iceborne. Though they kept his story about destroying an entire kingdom by himself so I guess it's more or less the same?

perhaps not the strongest, but the most monstrous of the monsters are the necromancers that bring back long dead threads

People are also forgetting they even buffed fatalis backstory it used to be just the castle but now it was basically their whole nation over night. Fatalis is meant to be the end all be all. You may not find him to be as hard, or like another monster more that's fine. But thematically Fatalis is meant to be monster god. Until something changes he's the strongest lore wise.

According to the lorebook capcom made for iceborne, safi is an equal rival to fatalis. So, the true answer is actually BOTH

Can you share a link to this? I can understand how Safi could possible rival fatalis with live live drain ability and he technically never had a chance to leave home so he could never do a life ending event
