Strongest monster lore wise.

What is the strongest monster lore wise? My bet is on Savage Deviljho or Ruiner Nergigante. Savage Devil is just savage for sure. Even destroying some Elder Dragons in 1v1 combat :0

You heard wrong. The monster you're talking about is Fatalis - it does melt hunters with their armor in order to cover itself in all of it (at least in lore). So yes - you got that part right. Fatalis is not however even close to Zorah's size. It's about Xeno's size. "Won the war for dragons" - there were no winners, only death (by which I mean that both humans and elder dragons nearly went extinct). Fatalis was the most prominent in that regard, wiping out entire kingdoms with no problem. It's theorized to prey on Lao Shan-Lungs which are dragons about two or three times the size of Xeno (70 meters to be precise).

The White Fatalis is specifically theorized to be the one Fatalis who wiped out Schrade. It's the most ancient of Fatalis and the most powerful one.

Having that said, Fatalis in the actual game is an extremely disappointing fight, considering its lore.

Zorah is the strongest, she just need to step on any of those elders dragon like a mosquito, imagine Zorah in her prime days.

also, every monster from the black dragons category is a possible strongest monster. also Shantien, it's know in lore to fight disufiora so he is probably a black dragon level monster.

Disu is a black dragon, but is not considered strongest because it cant control its power, most of the time killing itself with sepharim

There's literally nothing stopping them from just making a new monster that is purposefully stronger than White Fatalis. And since MHW is the most successful MH game to date and Fatalis is apparently an underwhelming fight (compared to it's lore at least), that seems like a strong possibility to me.

Eh, seems kinda unlikely considering how capcom treats Fatalis. Possible but not something I'd hold my breath for.
