People joining and not helping
This is such an issue right now, people join SOS flares, raising the difficulty of the hunt and they run around and collect amterials rather than helping.

Is there no option to kick people?

I would help more if half the hosts I arrive to help don't 3-cart in 5 minutes against HR Angie. They're always LS or DB players every time, so I go and mine for the first 3 minutes or so if the host has one of those so I actually get something for my time spent.

What if you are really bad and I decide you don't deserve the carve?
Then you are an аss lol
It's better to just kick the person after the fight :steamhappy:
No it's not, the entitles rage that ensues no doubt in front of his monitor is worth it alone. i can just picture the guy going ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy as I poke him gently every other second while he tries to carve LOL
RIP people actually being affected by the disconnect issue thats going on. 56 hours in all strictly played on multiplayer and no disconnects. Got the 100 Multiplayer Mission achievement early today between Xeno'jiivas. God speed lads.

Yep. As I said in my last comment, there's no reason to play multiplayer with random people. There's too many inexperienced people right now who make it unplayable.

You could also disable auto accept, meaning you can pick and choose who you allow in on your SOS. Though that doesn't take away that you will know in front if they are going to be a troll or not.

Don't use SOS flares. Aside from constant disconnect issues, multiplayer with randoms is completely unplayable. There's too many people who do nothing but gather materials, don't know how to use their weapons and keep hitting their teammates, die all the time because they have no idea how to fight a monster, or in general have no damn idea what to do at all. You absolutely need a dedicated group of people if you want to achieve anything at all in co op.

Multiplayer is not your playground or training space. Multiplayer is for people who want to hunt together as a team. If you want to be a useful member of the team, learn how to play this game first.

Not everyone has people to play the game with, SOS flares are the answer to that issue. Unfortunately there are some trolls answering the SOS flares.

I haven't had issues with SOS. I did have a single person over the course of about 50-75 quests that refused to go to the monster. They may have even d/c I don't know. But they were still in the game so I kicked them.

That doesn't represent 1% of the people I've played with at this point. So it should be uncommon.

Also, while I have had some connection issues. I would say its also less than 5% of the time.

Regarding skill, yes some people aren't very good yet. However you can press INSERT key on keyboard to bring up in game text chat. Tell them what they need to not do. (I warn people on captures ahead of time for example).

But most of the time people have been good enough. A few failed Anjas. But that is to be expected. Same for Blos, but again part of hunter life.

So I wouldn't tell people to never play with randoms. But even on prior MH games some people either exaggerate the issue, or think they are too godly to bother with others.

Us Normie hunters are ok with a few mistakes though.

Had this Chinese hunter with a long sword join a SOS I was helping with. Rathian High Rank. Runs in, swings weapon down once, gets charged by Rathian then she backflips him. Cart #1. Round 2. Gets down to 75% health. Rathain backflips him again. Dies to poison. Cart #2. Hunter rage quits.

/facepalm

Yea my favorite part is when the monster is down you go for the head and a naruto shinobi come to swing his blades like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥, canceling your attacks :steamfacepalm:

I never fire an SOS, but instead, I respond to SOS, that's how I got through story missions, this way, I control who I wanna play with.

and if you see people with Japanese names, it almost garunteed that they know what they're doing.

But.... there is a kick option, or a verify option so you can select who joins your SoS......

Generally you shouldn't use SOS flares for quests you really want to complete. Its too much of a gamble that you'll be answered and even then that the players that do are competent and/or not jerks.

The game is easier solo, that said try just using solo to complete serious farming story quests so that your casual farming and general fun time can be had actively joining others.

Also more pain in the a... is people interrupting you while you try to collect materials from dead monster during the 60sec countdown. Especially frustrating on some harder end game monsters.

Then don't make the monster dead and capture it? Simply put down a lightning trap and use a few tranq bombs when the monsters health is a line or it limps to escape.

Not killing the monster and instead capturing it offers more rewards than harvesting it.
