Does Sleep Coating = Traq Ammo?

Basically, can I use it to help catch monsters? Or is a bow & arrow pretty much useless for this?

Sleep is not Tranq. They are diffrent status effects.

I havn't tested this but apparently you can use sleep in place of a trap though, so if a monster is limping and you put it asleep then hit it with 2 tranqs it's capped.

At least none I see on the crafting menu

need to use Tranq stuff to capture monsters. Capture quests should give some tranq bombs in supply box, good luck!

You could just use tranq bombs too.

Don't use sleep if you're not on comms with friends. PUBs will wake it up instantly.

You can always use Tranq bombs instead of ammo. Capture quests AFAIK always give you tranq bombs in the chest at the start.

yes only lbg and hbg have a tranq coat, no sleep does not help since its a different status, carry tranq bombs they are easy to make and you get 8, if you are having problems using them, just use them first while the monster is down or asleep and then set your trap

the answer is no, sleep coating is sleep status element, not tranq.

bowguns are the only weapons that fire tranq shot. otherwise you must use tranq bombs.
