GS is one of the most powerful weapon in the game, but for experienced player, who knows staggering, monsters move and timing, its not a weapon of constant stream of damage, but a huge BURST, coupled with Crit Draw and Weakness Exploit it's insane. Just because someone doesnt know how to play the wepaon to it's full potential, doesnt mean it's bad.
14 Weapon, 14 playstyle, you either learn or change, it's simple
Dauntless is also not MH, even though it REALLY tries to be, and any long time MH fan is constantly reminded of that while playing until it eventually kills it for them. That was my experience, anyway.
MHW has a lot of issues on the port side of things, but the game itself is vastly superior to Dauntless, a game that isn't even finished.
That said, in terms of bringing the game onto PC and making it online via internet connection, Dauntless did it first and it's f2p.
Dauntless has less depth in mechanics though.
The game got issues not gonna deny that but i'm pretty the whole combat thing as another user rather aptly put in another thread is user error and entirely your own fault on not being able learn and adapt with the combat.
