Crash on start error - DXGI ERROR NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE

Sooo.. i got like 28 hours in already. but trying to play today results in this error message:

DXGI_ERROR_NOT_CURRENTLY_AVAILABLE:
pchain->ResizeTarget(&mdesc)

What the hell is this? I didn't see any patches. I didn't have any windows or nvidia updates. so nothing there changed.

Suddenly the game just doesn't want to run on my computer? wtf?

Annnd there's no Support that i can find on the capcom MHW website.

I've heard that unplugging your controller before you start the game can fix this.

Otherwise

You can try changing to borderless. Since your game is crashing on start you can change in graphics_option.ini in the game folder. change screenmode to "Borderless"

Also use the 398.36 nvidia drivers and not the latest ones since they have issues.

i don't use a controller. i use KBM.

only "fix" i've done to get it working is by changing the resolution in game. it like doesn't my ultra-wide resolution settings, it seems. though i don't know why it only just now is starting to give error messages. Worked fine for the first few days after release.

that happend to me i had to verify my game files and it said i lost my entire game. maybe try that

This is also happening to me. For not, it seems like launching the game after changing settings from the Geforce Experience app avoids it, have no idea why. Hopefully future updates will fix this.

Same had to put game in windowed borderless.

Avevo il medesimo errore, ho risolto andando in graphics_option nella cartella di gioco e cambiando DirectX12Enable=ON in DirectX12Enable=Off.


I had the same error, I solved it by going to graphic_option in the game folder and changing DirectX12Enable = ON to DirectX12Enable = Off.
