How do i jump up with the katana and do the slashing attack ?

When your bar is full and glows red, press Y + RT

Land the fourth RT move(it's tricky) and unlock the next color. Build up more spirit meter. Press RT and Y and land that hit. Press an attack button at the top of the leap.

Y is your regular attack. RT is your powerhouse attack.

strg + rmbt -> lmbt (thats the combo for the special combo if your bar is full and you have increased the bar) try to figure it out in the training camp

Pretty sure on mouse and keyboard it would be Ctrl+ LMB if you didn't change any of your binds.

Basically your "special attack", the wide sweeping slashes, and whatever you use for the normal overhead.

ctrl lmb is just a charge thrust.what do i follow up with bro

Nothing if the thrust hits the monster you leap automatically as long as you've powered up your sword.

Oh, and you can swing early with LMB while in the air, as well as aim the attack midair so you don't get feelsbadman misses.

Hit the training room and figure it out. Basically the jumping slash revolves around building your spirit up to the higher colors by physically landing that fourth roundhouse slash before using that jump back and charge attack.

You know which buttons perform which attacks. Just watch the video and translate the button presses to what you have set up on your PC cuz the combos are the same.

If you're only doing the charge thrust that means you haven't built any meter.

That's why I told you to watch the video anyway, cuz it will teach you everything that the Long Sword can do.

i am doing that charging thrust and it doesnt automatically happen ;p thats my point

There is another thread discussing the same thing. Anyway, u need to have at least 1 level of spirit gauge (glowing white sword outline) and u do the charge thrust hitting the monster and u will do the Spirit Helmbreaker which is slashing down attack.
