MHW multiplayer is peer to peer

the lobbies are peer to peer so when the lobby host stops hosting you are disconected and need to go to the billboard and matchmake again.

also the game will always ask you to find/create a multiplayer lobby but even if your computer is not even connected to the internet you will still be able to play.

capcom has nothing server side but matching you with other players and there is no requirment to contact the capcom server to play the game.

if your still having troubles with disconnects etc please consult your internet service provider or run the windows/mac(/linux?) trouble shooter.

It's peer to peer, but Steamworks connectivity makes it awful.

People are complaining about getting disconnected from their own lobbies, you dum dum.

I play solo and I get messages telling me I got disconnected every 5 minutes. No, I don't know why I have to make an online lobby to play solo either. Love to have to select a number of players everytime I start the game.

No clue what crack you are on, but you don't have to make a lobby to play solo. The only thing where it's needed is to claim the login bonus, go online, play, get disconnected? Oh well, screw it and carry on. But not everyone is an introvert who wants to cry alone.

Man, you must be simple as they come. Thanks, captain obvious. And how the hell are you allowed on the internet? The game still has to maintain a stable connection FOR YOU, it's not all the players fault. To be able to go peer to peer you still need a server that takes one connection and connects to the other, miss simple. But hey, attention escorts on the internet.

Can you point to me the directions on how to play without creating a lobby? Personally I always click on play, then select my save file, then a window pops up asking me to choose my playstyle, number of players, password, private lobby, etc. But I seem to be doing it wrong.

Also I am complaining about getting disconnected and you reply by saying I'm an introvert being alone? I don't really understand, woudln't my complains about getting disconnected imply the exact opposite?

Mate I hosted a new online session to play with my sis and we got disconnected within 10mjns of game, so yeah it’s not about p2p problem. If you don’t host a session you can’t even do multiplayer! So you are the dumb one here accusing others. We are complaining that once we are in a game, we get kicked within 5 - 10 mins, almost every time!
