Whoever designed the Wyvern Egg stealing quest/map layout thrives on human suffering and needs to rethink thier life choices.

This quest...o m g. The way to the nest can't be taken once u have the egg, all the shortest routes the scoutflies are showing me go thru or under stuff you can't do with the egg. Just designed to infict pain and sufferng on players.

Just discovered this myself. And while on my way the long way around my character got out of breath and dropped the egg. wtf?!?? You can dodge roll without it breaking but if you get tired it breaks?

nobody likes carrying eggs, it's always sucked and it's always been just a pain in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ass

it's like a worse escort mission except you can't fight back and if you run out of stamina it dies

get camp 17 and you're done

It is pretty simple, when you have build the camp in area 17 and killed the rathian, if it annoys you during the run

learn the basics about the map before you do the quest get used to all the routes especially how to visit camp 17

the ghillie mantle is another great help during the quest

Ghillie Mantle and the Kulu-Ya-Ku gloves for the Pro Transporter skill will make egg quests infinitely easier.

Food buffs or the kulu arms will help. Also if you find the other campsites and set them up in town there are easy ways to get to closer bases with the wyvern egg in ancient forest or wildspire. The one in wildspire that is under the wyvern nest you can get to from some vines no crawling required.

Don't worry. They're optional. They only unlock ingredients for the canteen.

I'd say so (though skippable). You're going to want the canteen to have every ingredient for food buffs. They made the egg quests much easier than the old games and you only need to do them a few times throughout the game. Just get em over with and never look back. :)

Few tips:
1.Get equipment with Pro Transporter
2.Use ghilie suit before picking up egg
3.Kill monster first and while he is respawning, you can easily take eggs.
4.You can use youtube with shortest route to camp.
